Staff is horrible

Staff was extremely rude except for house keeping, towels were dirty, light bulbs out in the room, floor titles coming up, remote didn’t work on the tv. They updated the cable system while I was in my room with no notification that they would need to be in the room. We were sleeping as the technician came to do the installation. The manager proceeded to walk into our room and watch the technician work and talk to him while my husband was sleeping.

Saw a couple roaches which isn't a big deal in this area, and no caulking under the bathroom door trim, so water will leak into the main room with a long shower

I liked that it was tucked away and had a "Home away from feel" at first.

We didn't like the crumb-filled, torn corner , bloodstained mattress with burns in the sheets. Would've been nice to have a thick comforter, but two rough thin sheet is all that seperated us from this nightmare mattress. Had to make the best because "No Refunds"... Didn't expect to have to work for free to try and get confortable as an electrician, hvac, plumbing professional on a nightt I was trying to get some much needed rest, but I can't sleep without air conditionin when its 90°F outside, so I fixed the shorted outlet the airconditioner was plugged into to get some A/C going. Ok, maybe I can take a hot shower peacefully and wind down.... Unfortunately, the shower head was broken, so I had to do my best to keep all the water in the tub as I showered. Thin towels were used to mop up all the water instead of drying off. Just ended up putting the same clothes back on and headed out to another location to try and rest around 4am after tossing and turning for around 3 hours. Checked in time requested and approved between 8pm-9pm, arrived 8:30pm, received room card about 9pm. Decided to grab some food for dinner to bring back to the room with the wife. I should've checked the room before heading out. Would not recommend for anyone needing rest, staycation, or leisure. It was all around the worst experience we've had at a hotel all year. I know old folks are stuck in their ways. I just wasn't a friendly guy, but would it kill to smile and greet a paying customer? I don't know. Maybe it's been as rough for this particular hotel as it's been for all Americans lately. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Maybe might try again after a good while? Idk
