Good for a stop over stay

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. Very central location, walking distance to most attractions.

Unfortunately there were two cockroach’s spewing out from the carpet seams during our stay. Honestly this made us feel dirty the rest of the stay.

The room was great, and the location was extremely convenient. The hotel is fairly basic and doesn't offer services beyond a clean, comfortable room, but the area has area has everything you need. The room did have a small refrigerator and coffee/tea, which was very nice. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. They had no problem holding our luggage for a few hours on the day we checked out. The hotel is a good value for over-priced Cairns lodging.

Longer reception hours probably would be helpful, though we never had a problem when the desk was not staffed.

Room size was quite big compared with others. Bed was suprisingly comfortable

Great hotel for a conference delegate. This hotel provided all that was needed at a reasonable price. The Cairns Conference centre is within sight from my balcony. So I couldn't get lost. A straightforward walk down the main street to a Woolworths supermarket and a $2 shop souvenirs shop. The pier for Great Barrier Reef boats is also an easy walk, as is the Aquarium and night market. The hotel provides a microwave and kettle so an economical breakfast can be achieved. Coffee, tea and decaffeinated coffee is provided. Your bed is made daily except on public holidays. The pool is on the roof, and ticks that box. You can Chromecast to the TV. My stay for 6 nights was very comfortable.

It had a washing machine and dryer which was convenient for us. We liked that it had a balcony and a reasonable choice of tv channels.

The property is old and old fashioned. It feels dingy and could do with refurbishment. The furniture is old and has cracks. The sofa in our apartment was not suitable for paying guests. Some of the furniture also seems unnecessary. The cleaning in the rooms could be cleaned to a higher standard. I would not stay here again.
