"Absolutely Shocking"

2.0

I would not usually write anything disparaging, everyone has a right to make a living, but this hotel steals it. We arrived with my mother and father and the stench from the room we were offered initially turned my stomach, the next room overlooked a back alley and after much faffing about with a key the third time was acceptable. Only because we were so tired and just wanted to sleep. So down to the bar, had one G+T, they ran out of gin and in the seven nights we were there they never replaced it. The food - poor, it boasted 3No restaurants, same menu all 3, just in different locations. A nightclub, wouldn't know it was closed. Staff friendliness - hardly, all professed to being unable to speak English, which isn't a problem until you hear them talking to other guests in pretty good English. I genuinely would advise traveller beware, in fact one useful thing to come from this is that we now have a decent benchmark by which to judge things, ie if it's no worse than Hotel El Morabitine, we can survive it....Just.

"Great for beach"

8.0

Stayed in Hotel with friend as a last minute 2 nights, booked rooms at 1am no prob friendly staff. Great bar to sit out side with street view Close (12.00) only place we could find for a drink out side. Close to beach and park 10 min walk to centre of town. We also found a fantastic french restaurant just down the road.

"A decent tourist class hotel"

6.0

Spend one night there with my girlfriend while traveling through Morocco. The room we were given was nice and spacious with a view of the pool. The location is ok but a bit off the center, but only 10 minutes to the downtown area. The major letdown of this hotel are the bar and restaurant. We went to the bar for a drink in the evening and the staff there were more interested in their TV than in the guests.. When I went to order a Gin and Tonic I almost had to instruct the girl on how to make it. In the morning things didn't get better for breakfast. We came to the the restaurant and found a table. Noone approached us and there were no buffet available. After waiting for more than 10 minutes (luckily we brought a book) and after watching several members of staff rush by we were finally approached by a waiter who told us to move to another table if we wanted breakfast (?) which we did. We were then supplied with a rather limited, but nice, selection of breakfast items and orange juice. All in all the experience was a bit mixed, but I reckon that the hotel would be nice in the summer.

"Hotel El Morabitine - Good mid-range option"

8.0

This is a good mid-range option to stay in El Jadida. A bit far from the center and old Portuguese town, but close to restaurants, bars, the beach and the bus station. The map in the website, however, is incorrect, so please be aware of this when choosing your hotel and when planning how to get there. Appart from that it is a regular 3 star, with very friendly people welcoming you and good comfortable facilities.

"Hotel is good enough for a couple of days"

6.0

The hotel was just a minute from the beach and in walking distance from city centre. It felt safe as they had security guards 24/7. Breakfast was simple with a boiled egg, croissant, some local cakes, baguette and a glass of orange juice. Overall the hotel was in ok condition and in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff was friendly so except from the bad experience with Expedia itself, the hotel is worth staying at when you are visiting El Jadida.

"Clean and comfortable but nothing special"

6.0

Slightly run down but clean, our shower was broken but they fixed within 30min. I would recommend you ask for a room away from the road. Although we were on 5th floor the level of noise from the street was very high plus techno pumping through the speakers in the nearby park till early hours of the morning. Standard Moroccan breakfast: bread, pastries, moroccan pancake, butter, jam, juice and coffee or tea. Pool was fine but busy. We had interconnecting rooms but A/C was only in one of them. All in all we tought it was quite expensive for what it was.

"good"

8.0

We stayed for a weekend and after reading the reviews on here was a little worried. However I work in Morocco as a product manager for a travel company so i know what the standards are like here. our room was clean, a decent size, the shower worked really well (much better than most moroccan showers) plenty of hot water a small balcony, a tv with english channels. I liked the fact that they had notices up advising not to change towels unless nessesary and to conserve water. The breakfast was good and the pool area was lovely. The only down side would be the interconnecting doors in the rooms (someone in the room next door tried to get into our room at 4am but luckily it was locked) and the loud music from the club on the ground floor - we were on the 3rd and could still hear it at 3am. This Hotel is a good 3 star hotel by Moroccan standards - Morocco has different standards to the west so don't come here expecting the same standard of the 3 star for example in Europe. I would happliy stay here again.
