Rocabella Santorini Hotel & SPA

The property is beautiful with easy access to the trail and a good view from the balcony of the room and the terrace by the pool. Spacious room and bathroom. We had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. Easy to get transport to and from. They did help with setting up transport from airport to the hotel.

I mistakenly thought the dipping pool outside the room was a hot tub, but it is actually not warmed, so we ended up not using it since it was chilly when we were there. We were there in the off season and it seemed like the property was not exactly ready to host guests during this time. The restaurant and pool being closed were anticipated, so not surprising there. There was construction throughout the property, namely, right in front of our room for several hours throughout both days of our stay. The floor in our room and patio had a light film of dust when we arrived. The tablet that supposedly had information for our stay was not really updated for the off season (hours were not accurate, mealtimes not accurate, etc). They did send a questionnaire ahead of time asking for preferences, but the questionnaire was also not updated for the off season (regarding restaurant reservations). It also would have been useful to get a list of restaurants or take aways that were open in the area during off season (we ended up getting this from another host that we stayed with during this trip). Ahead of time we did not anticipate getting a spa treatment, but some of our plans were flexible and we were able to change it, so we booked massages online, but we were not aware that because of the off season we actually needed to talk to someone about this and not just book online, so we did not get our massages. Because of the off season, we knew to be flexible with plans and expectations, but in my opinion they could have been better equipped to host or set expectations ahead of time during this timeframe since the booking was listed. All of this being said, it would not necessarily deter me from returning to the property during the season to experience the pool, restaurant, spa and views to experience it when they are fully functional.

The view is great from an otherwise run-down place.

I arrived at the hotel at around 10:30pm after a very delayed flight due to bad weather (heavy rain and winds). Reception was closed so I called them. An employee came out to usher me to my room. All the premises were dark. He opened the door, placed the card-key in the switch and left. The first thing I notice is the room is extremely damp. The AC near the ceiling was just heating ...the ceiling. The sheets were so wet, I decided to sleep with my raincoat and a hat I fortunately had with me. I can confidently assume this room had not been opened for months. So after an almost sleepless night I found someone at the reception and she offered to provide me with a heater. After leaving the heater on all day the sheets were still somehow damp. Had to stay since I had prepaid/non-refumdable. For th entire three days, no one came to clean the room, even take out the trash. Tried to go to the veranda; it was flooded with rain water, at least 3cm. Had to use a spoon I found, to unclog the drain. Every night no lights outdoors. In the morning workers drilling and fixing things. Bottom line? A totally horrible experience. A proper rip-off; they should be ashamed of offering this kind of service. Rocabella? I know were NOT to stay when in Santorini in the winter. The place is run-down, with non-existent service. Be warned...

I like the caldera view from the room

The breakfast wasn’t value for money. I was only offered a slice of bread for breakfast. The plunge pool was very dirty, after asking for it to be cleaned it wasn’t and no apologies at all. Not worth €205 per day with breakfast included at all for an off peak season.

הגענו זוג עם שתי ילדות קטנות, אהבנו את המרחבים של המלון, הבריכות המפנקות, השירות והמקצועיות של המלון. ארוחת בוקר נהדרת עם מבחר מתוך תפריט. צוות שירותי ונעים.

תפריט הארוחת צהריים וערב במלון היה די מצומצם ולא זול ופחות מצאנו מה לאכול, בעיקר לבנות שלנו. ומאחר ואין הרבה מסעדות באיזור במרחק הליכה נאלצנו להתפשר ולאכול שם בכל זאת. ביום השני שכרנו רכב כדי שנוכל להתנייד. בנוסף לכך היו לנו נמלים בחדר.

La habitación y el desayuno estaban bien. El personal fue atento y amable!!!

1.- Muchas de las zonas del hotel estaban deshabilitadas. 2.- Salir y llegar al hotel era difícil. El transporte es bastante deficiente. 3.- La televisión por cable no tenía muchos canales
