Carlton Hotel

A very comfortable hotel centrally positioned close to the lake, shops & street markets. There is a large pool (a bit cold) at the rear with loungers, changing facilities and a restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was satisfactory.

This hotel is well placed for the lake and town. The room was comfortable and had tea and coffee making facilities. The lobby is attractive and there are shops within the hotel. There is a bar and the restaurant serves good meals. The staff are friendly and there is a large swimming pool.

Nice common areas and good dining selection available. Rooms are decently sized and adequately appointed. Comfortable nights sleep. Quite basic and a solid 3 star facility. Give the surroundings this is very good. Friendly staff.

I stayed in room 1403, on the 14th floor with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Very clean spacious room loaded with all you might need. Expect to pay for mineral water from the fridge. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Do not expect that all staff speak English. French is the language of communication. If you feel challenged, Google translate can come in handy. There is a pool side restaurant and another gourmet restaurant in the ground floor "ILE ROUGE". Both restaurants serve great food but not outstanding. I mean that is not the kind of food that you would expect in a 5 stars hotel. Breakfast buffet is loaded with a large variety. Eggs are not found in the buffet but served only on demand. On the negative side, I arrived about an hour earlier than my check in time, I was not allowed in the room before the check in time even though the room was ready. Other hotels are more relaxed about check in time. In conclusion; I would love to stay again in Carlton Antananarivo Madagascar if I get to visit this city again.

Internet not so good; bathtub quickly turns into a pool when taking a shower. Friendly staff.

This hotel is below standard for a 5 Star hotel. The wireless is unreliable, the hotel looks threadbare and needs a change is management.

We stayed 3 times one night in between flights during our holidays in Madagascar. Tahina from front desk advised on trips and restaurants in the best way possible! He tried to give us the same room and made us feel home each time! The hotel has an excellent bakery and coiffure. Thanks a lot!

The rooms are reasonable sized, wifi quite good, service and toiletries good.As the window is partially openable, the advantage of fresh air is available. For vegetarians, the breakfast, dinner options are limited.They should add suitable items to the menu.

Hotel rooms are old and tired. Need things like irons and boards in rooms. Bathrooms very small.
