What a beautiful place packed with such interesting items full of history and staffed with amazing people who definitely go above and beyond too make your stay enjoyable,,our breakfast was extremely good 😊 loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be returning soon !!

Poor value given that they like to double charge you, possibly an honest mistake but avoiding all phone calls and emails when provided with evidence of what has happened is not Honest

Clean, convenient and full of character. Competitive rates, very friendly hosts and a superb breakfast.

Overall very good. Welcoming and friendly

We had 3 nights at Kirkconnel. It’s an old building dating back to the 1800’s with a fascinating history, involving Napoleon Bonaparte! It’s undoubtedly quirky but all the more enjoyable for that. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The rooms are comfortable, clean with very high ceilings, and large Windows. Breakfast was copious and with a wide array of fayre. The Hotel is very close to the A74 and easily accessed. We would be happy to return, and explore the local area further which is delightful.

We stayed in the cabin as the hotel was closed for 3 days due to family emergency. The cabin was clean and spacious, the only negative was the train line to the back having trains every hour over night. There was no clock in the cabin which would of been helpful

What an amazing place. Full of history and interesting artefacts. The hotel and our room in particular was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental style but there was an excellent choice of things to eat. The owners - and their dog - were very friendly. We really enjoyed our short stay. We would have expected to pay much more for this standard of hotel.
