"Great short stay!"

10.0

My husband, adult son, and I stayed one night for a short trip to the Sequoias. We were so glad we chose to stay inside the park. It allowed us more time to explore and we were even able to visit King's Canyon on our short trip. Wuksachi Lodge is lovely. We stayed on the third floor in the Sequoia Building. There is no elevator, but the stairs were easy to navigate. The room was nice size, very clean, and super quiet. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant inside the lodge. The food was good and reasonably priced. If we visit Sequoia National Park again, we will definitely stay here!

"Perfect place for reasonable price"

10.0

I love the place, we stayed at the sequoia building and I had an amazing experience thanks to the staff that helped us. This place is really good if you want to experience the outdoors is you don’t want to camp in the ground and make it feel authentic. They also helped us learn about dog friendly trails and they were very accommodating. 💯 % I would go back again.

"Expensive and not user friendly"

6.0

In order to stay right in Sequoia National Park and not camp, this is the only option. It was not worth the price. Rooms are located in separate buildings from the main check in and dining room building. It’s VERY dimly lit to find your building, in the parking lot and the walk up to your room. The altitude (7,000 feet!) will affect you right away and the walk up to your building is either two sets of steep stairs or a LONG ramp. I advise packing a flashlight because even the light on my iPhone wasn’t sufficient. The buildings have no elevator to get to the second floor so even more schlepping of luggage in the thin air. The room was adequate. No king rooms, only two queen beds. The room was very hot!! Even with the heat off, it was 70 degrees in our room. There’s a window fan but it’s quite loud so was not good for sleeping. The dining room was pretty (lodge like) but the food was just adequate. Nothing is inexpensive when you stay right in the parks. I will recommend that if the altitude bothers you (dizziness, chest pain, arm pain, difficulty sleeping), you might not want to stay here to get a break from the elevation. Pace yourself, lots of water, no alcohol will help but I still had to cut short my activities in Kings Canyon due to feeling lousy. Oh, one more thing. The bathroom! It was quite possibly the lowest toilet (that isn’t in a preschool) that we’ve ever seen!

Clean room, hairdryer cord not long enough so it kept coming out the wall while using it. Restaurant food quality was not great, but the pizza on the terrace was good.

"One of the best National Park lodges"

10.0

One of the better National Park hotels I've experienced. Overall it had the feel of a better quality Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn type of property and that was true even as I had one of the cheaper rooms. It had phone, large screen tv, and wifi - which is often not the case in National Parks. Very quiet, they provide fans built into the window that help with the air circulation. The ice machines also have a water bottle filler, very handy! Staff were really helpful. It is a bit tricky from where you park up to the rooms, its not all that far but its uphill. There are numerous luggage trolleys available so that helps. Way better than the lodging at Yosemite!
