"Great Experience"

10.0

I stayed with family at this lodge. It’s beautiful and the restaurant is very good. The rooms are nicely decorated and very cozy. I recommend staying in a corner room where you get wide windows so when it snows it’s beautiful. Wear warm jackets and boots 🥾 since you have to walk to the lodge from your room.

Our stay was good overall, except the WiFi was out for one day and there was no cell service reception at all at this lodge. Another day there was a thunderstorm after which there was no power for half a day. The lodge itself is clean and provides good quality accommodation.

This was very convenient for our 2 day trip to Sequoia/King’s Canyon. For those like myself, who didn’t read the details: only some rooms have a/c, most have window fans and the rooms are in outbuildings away from the restaurant and check-in. Thankfully we made dinner reservations bc many other people did not, so plan accordingly. It was clean, spacious and very well located for park visits.

"Beware of the high altitude uphill path to your room!"

8.0

This is a fantastic location to stay while visiting the General Sherman and other ancient redwood trees at Sequoia National Park. The rooms have very large flatscreen TV's and the Lodge restaurant is excellent. We loved everything about our stay except porting our bags uphill from the car parking area to one of the three guest room buildlngs. We stayed at the Sequoia building. The area you have to park you cars is below where you sleep and you have to carry your bags at high altitude (7,000 feet) path and it is not fun or easy. Guests we talked to all had the same comment. Carrying your bags at high altitude uphlll was "ridiculous"! Even the path we had to use was not well maintained as the steps were downward sloping and that increased the chances of falling. It is not posted but if you talk to the front desk, they say that they will post your bags, But the staff did not mention this until I complained. In my opinion guests should be able to used the employee road that goes right next to the rooms, Please get this right Wuksachi Lodge!

"Convenient Location"

6.0

Wuksachi Lodge offers a convenient location close to many of the park’s attractions, but the overall experience did not meet expectations. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the staff was friendly, but the room itself was disappointing. The carpet and furniture were old, the room lacked a fresh scent, and the bathroom fixtures were poorly maintained—the shower head was partially clogged, wasting water, and the toiletries were low quality. While the mattress was comfortable and Wi-Fi limitations were communicated in advance, a power outage during a rainstorm closed The Peak restaurant and canceled our reservation, leaving only takeout as an option. Overall, the lodge feels overpriced for what it provides.

"Bad stewardship of natural resources!"

6.0

The parking lot is very far away from the rooms but you are required to bring all food inside which is a lot of work with a heavy ice chest. The "newspaper" that they give you on check-in lists that there is an ice machine in the "vending area" however there is no vending area on the map. When we brought our ice bucket to the pizza kitchen in the registration building we were told that there is no ice machine on the property but she could give us one cup of ice. We ordered a pizza for here and it was delivered in a large to-go cardboard box. A Coors light that was ordered was poured from it's glass bottle into a disposable plastic cup. When done, we bussed our own table but noticed no recycling container, only trash. We asked the employee to recycle for us and he said "I think you just put it in the trash". What a bad example of reducing, reusing, and recycling for an establishment with a NATIONAL PARK to have!!!! Very disappointed

"A great place to relax in nature"

10.0

I had a brilliant time here! The room was fine, if a bit basic. The room was cool, even with only a fan. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The bathroom was adequate. The location was amazing! We were surrounded by nature and very close to the General Sherman tree and other trails. It was really relaxing. The food options were good - we ate in the lodge and at the pizza deck. There were evening fire pits and stargazing activities. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

I loved the vioews of the mountains. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.my only complaint is they dont offer a eaay to ready hiking map.they only offer a driving map and a smaller map of 3-4 smaller trails.but they offer a free bus service to and from several popular attractions close by!
