"Wonderful accommodations at this comfy lodge.,"

10.0

We had a wonderful adventure visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. We decided to stay in the Park and truly loved Wuksachi Lodge. It was comfortable and convenient. We ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge where the food was delicious! They also accommodated gluten free foods. I would come back in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge, but they were understaffed in the dinning room each day. Since there isn't another restaurant in the park, I think they should expect their overnight guests to dine in their restaurant. The staff that was there, were all extremey helpful and nice. I would stay at the lodge again.

"Great place to stay in Sequoia National Park"

10.0

We loved Wuksachi Lodge! I wasn't sure what to expect for lodging in a national park, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was large with everything we needed to be comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. The pillows were a bit high for us, but not a deal breaker. We enjoyed the food at the Peak restaurant and the pizza on the deck. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There's a small gift shop in the lobby with some food/camping items for sale. We didn't really buy anything but had fun looking around. Our room was in one of the buildings off the parking lot. It was convenient that we were on the main level and didn't have to be concerned about stairs. There is an uphill walk to the lodges, so consider getting a cart to bring your suitcases up in one trip!

"Nice stay"

10.0

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the bottom level of the Silliman Building which doesn’t have an elevator so may be difficult for some to carry suitcases, but it was fine for us. We enjoyed a pleasant dinner at the restaurant. There was a little bit of noise from other rooms but not too bad. Unfortunately we didn’t see any bears.

"Centrally located…"

8.0

Centrally located and the food at the Peak Restaurant was good! The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Since I booked last minute, the cost was steep through Expedia for 3 nights for 2, which cost us over $2,000. The downside was after we checked in, we had to drive to our building and carry our luggage up several steps and then we saw the luggage cart and used it which you have to push up through the ADA walkway. Then when we got to our building, we had to carry everything up 4 flights of stairs to our room. No elevators. Luckily, we each only had a carry-on and a backpack.

"Great place to stay!"

10.0

We stayed in a superior room, which includes AC and a separate living room area. It was nice to have a couch and big tv for relaxing after a long day in the park. The beds were comfy and shower had good pressure. This place costs a little more, but you get what you pay for. Totally worth it , highly recommended.

No AC. Property should state in the room description that there is no AC so guests are aware. Open windows was nice, but it was a surprise that we weren’t prepared for.

"Go ahead and enjoy your vacation!"

8.0

The Lodge is very quiet. It did involve more walking than I anticipated. There are 3 buildings that are all separate, and then there is the Lodge where Registration is, along with a very small gift shop, a Pizza Deck, Bar(extremely small....only about 5 chairs at a bar,) and Restaurant. The pizza on the deck was very good. The Peaks Restaurant had fairly good food if you ordered simple food like burgers, sandwiches, chili, chicken pot pie. Our 45.00 dollar steaks were paper thin, gray and just not at all what we expected when ordering a steak at a finer restaurant. Our server was abysmal. The room we had was a superior corner room. Smaller than anticipated. Clean. Old time type bathroom with tub/shower combo with an old discolored tub. Would have been nice to have grab bars. Also would have preferred individual soaps and hair care products instead of the liquid pumps on the walls. Window air conditioner. I think it is probably the nicest accommodation in the Park. So, it served it's purpose, and the employees, except for our waitress at the Peaks, we're very nice and friendly. Enjoy your vacation!
