"Good hotel as a touring base for a couple of days. Showing its age but was good value and friendly."

Staff friendly, ease of parking, breakfast was fine, room spacious, hotel generally quiet - no noisy neighbours! Bed very comfortable.

The room was "tired" . Bathroom needed modernised and a new toilet seat! TV remote control worn out. Main door and Bar was supposed to be open to 10pm, but whenever I got back circa 9:30 pm I had to use key code and bar was in darkness. I guess too quiet to have staff on... BUT it was fine as no real need for the bar!

Old but charming with lots of interesting contents. Restaurant food was very good both at dinner and at breakfast.

A little run down, but this added to the charm!
