"Dog friendly Hotel, with friendly staff"

Staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to have our dogs there. Chef stayed on to cook our meal. Room was clean and spacious

The heating didn’t work in our room, but they did find a portable heater for us to use. Hotel is a bit tired, could do with a make over. No sound proofing so we could hear people moving about upstairs

Grote ruime kamer. We hebben in de avond pizza gegeten en dat was prima. Het is een echt victoriaans huis. Wel oud en gedateerd maar netjes.

Our room & beds were comfortable but in need of updating, especially the bathroom. All facilities were provided for. The evening meal & breakfast were very good. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

The hotel is very much in need of updating, looked very tired indeed. Gardens looked a bit neglected. On our trip we have stayed in better places that have been lower priced.

"Hotel used for a short stay break to attend an event in Tain and as base for revisiting Sutherland."

Spacious room with comfortable bed. Nice breakfast, good start to the day. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location base for attending “event” in Tain and as a base for onward exploration of Sutherland.

Hotel looks tired, disappointing as it could be beautiful. Shower over bath not the best, although functional.
