Twin Lotus Resort and Spa (Adult Only / November to April)

Great location, beautiful views, excellent staff!

Everything went so smoothly from check in to check out. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with breakfast and the pool area looking right over the beach: definitely worth getting up early for. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for hire on site as well as scooters for zooming around the island. They also organised a four island tour for us. The buffet breakfast was amazing and all of the bar and wait staff are so lovely. Our room was the most basic standard double and it was still huge. Massive bathroom and a screen door which was much appreciated if you like fresh air at night like we do. The only thing was we had a few mosquitos in our room from check in but nothing to stop us staying here again. I cannot wait to revisit Koh Lanta and stay at Twin Lotus again!

Overall good, despite a bad start when they failed to pick us up at the Airport as arranged, all other aspects good would stay again

The staff was very welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful at all times! Thanks for making us feel good! The beachfront villa was well maintained and in very good condition. We liked the design, the coffee mashine and the large bed. The patio was nice and around the villas the garden was good. But I missed the rain shower in the bathroom and WIFI wasn’t good. Also, it would have been great to provide water outside the villa to clean feet. The beach is wonderful with bars/restaurants and the hotel provided enough quality deckchairs and towels. We’ve had a wonderful and romantic private dinner at the beach. It was well organized and a special experience for us. We enjoyed our stay very much. However, the first impression at the lobby was a bit disappointing. The garden there looks sparse. The lotus ponds look bad and that stream over which a bridge leads to the villas was litterally horrible. The pool at the beach looked nice, but the bar, and that boccia field looked run down. They should ensure everything looks like it should in a five-star hotel. Even though we enjoyed our stay, they entirely failed to overwhealm with a first impression. Room service once took away our fruits. I asked and they said, they‘d look into it and call back. No call, no replacement. Other than that houskeeping and room service is good and they clean thoroughly. At second glance, the hotel manages to make you feel good, especially because of the people working there and the good villas.

We booked 6 nights at the Twin Lotus. Upon arrival we were told our original room was not available for the first night and they placed us in the 900 wing (older section) of the resort. This was very far away from the main lodge and the beach. We had the option to move to our reserved room after the first night but opted to stay in the room they gave us (they gave us daily food vouchers). We opted to stay as we typically don't spend much time at the resort but like to travel around. The staff were very nice. I would recommend that the rooms in the 900 wing be updated and they try harder to avoid overbooking rooms. I think if I went back to Koh Lanta I would pick a more central resort or apartment as it was pretty far away from the main street.

Fabulous hotel, the staff are amazingly helpful and polite, we were upgraded and the villas were beautiful and comfortable. We rented a motorbike for a few pounds a day and it is very safe riding around the island, everything moves quite slowly, and the drive along the beach road to the national park is very beautiful, otherwise take cheap tuk tuks. The hotel is very close to Saladan Pier with all the restaurants etc. Loved this hotel and could not fault it. We will be back

My husband and I stayed at the twin lotus hotel for 5 nights. My review is fully based on a number of caveats that should be bourne in mind, including the island has only had western influences in the past 10 years and the staff clearly try very hard. A 5 star on Koh Lanta will be no more than 3 for western standards. On arriving to our pool villa I found a very large centipede on the room. These can bite. The spa bath did not work and upon running water into the bath two red parasites were in the water. I asked to be moved roomed based on what I had seen and the manager was very happy to accommodate us and move us to a high level room. Not having the private pool was not a concern as it did not look appealing not particularly clean, albeit that was my personal opinion and I did not actually test the cleanliness of the water. We had a full body Thai massage at the resort spa. This was great and the service impeccable. We stayed over New Year’s Eve and the resort were putting on a gala dinner. As my caveats above, the staff clearly tried very hard however I did not enjoy the buffet and the entertainment was more 1980’s butlins, however to the Thai people it was very impressive. My husband and I were initially charged 5000 bht per person to attend. I found this unfair as we were not told of an additional charge and we were prevented from using the facilities I.e. restaurant and pool bar. We had no choice but to attend the gala dinner. The fitness centre was adequate.

The resort is excellent. Quiet, clean and the pool at sunset is spectacular. Breakfast is ok. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You are near to the town but all of the restaurants have gone western and are expensive.

We do love our teip here. All the staff are friendly. Recommend to inforce all food and beverages knowledge and presentation of food will be more valued.. will back soon

Staff does not speak or understand english. Food quality was marginal. There was only one restaurant. I would give it a 2.5 stars.
