Grand Hotel Miramare

The daily staff ( cleaning lady and breakfast team) were lovely. The location is close to the historical area of Taomina and the view from our balcony was quite special too. The hotel is a little dated and there was only one power point suitable to charge our devices.

The Grand Hotel Miramare was lovely. Breakfast was superb; you could dine inside or on a beautiful balcony overlooking the Ionian Sea. The lobby was very attractive. Francesca at the front desk was wonderfully helpful with every question. The only slight negative was the room: although spacious and clean, it was a bit dark. But it had a balcony large enough to seat six people! Altogether a fabulous place to stay and very well located.

Breakfast was delicious everyday and the staff at the front desk was always very helpful. Our cleaning lady was very friendly along with everyone at the daily breakfast.

The hotel is a bit "tired" and could do with an update. That said its is clean and spacious. Also very quiet. Our Classic room was spacious with a patio area. All perfectly functional but in need of a facelift. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and view from balcony is fabulous. Other than the poolside bar there were no other dining options within the hotel other than breakfast. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk from the centre of Taormina and its multitude of bars and restaurants. The outdoor swimming pool area is quite nice and the pool a good size. However be aware it is 180 steps down to the pool and because of its position loses the sun mid afternoon.Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel fair value for what we paid.
