Absolutely superb location, views cannot be beaten anywhere in Aswan. Up on a hill so far enough from the noise of Aswan but close enough to walk everywhere. Great staff and food. So peaceful and chilled with jaw dropping views! Book a Nile view room - you won’t be disappointed

! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back again. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in was smooth and fast. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with all the amenities I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept very well. Housekeeping did a great job Special thanks for Ms. Amira at the front office she is very helpful and had a great smile and hospitality

We were from Luxor to Aswan at night. Because we were afraid of insecurity, we called the front desk. It was felotabeer who answered the phone. He quickly understood the situation and confirmed our situation all the way. Finally, when we arrived at the hotel, he also confirmed our situation again and again. During the day, when we went out, someone came to make the bed for us. When we came back at night, nothing was lost. Usually, there were security guards who came to the hotel to confirm their identity. In general, their service was really good, and the safety was completely good. The internal and external environment of the hotel is very good, and it is especially suitable for rest by the Nile. The location is good and convenient.The room is relatively old, but the basic functions are all good!

The rooms are good, but all the staff are harsh and unfriendly. The restaurant is unclean and there are cats around. The staff never smile. I booked breakfast and dinner for seven nights throughout my stay, and it was the same food with absolutely no change. The portions were insufficient, and the egg cooker at breakfast was irritable, didn't look at anyone, and didn't attend to my requests. The air conditioning didn't work in the rooms or the restaurant, and it was very hot with no ventilation. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I won't repeat it. I will advise all my friends not to go to that place.

The first thing I'd like to highlight at Basma Hotel was the staff. They were truly exceptional, starting from the reception team (especially Mariam) over the guest relations team led by Reham and the kitchen staff led by Sayed. Before our stay, I requested a quiet room as high up as possible with a soft bed, and they went above and beyond: They even added a super-soft mattress topper to make the bed extra comfortable and cosy. Whenever I had an issue or concern, the team responded right away and genuinely did their very best to help. The wifi was also the best I'd had during all my stays in Egypt. We were placed on the highest floor possible, with an incredible view over the Nile and the pool. Waking up to that view felt magical. Everyone was genuinely friendly, warm, and welcoming to the point where I actually made friends during our stay. A truly special experience! Some suggestions for improvement The shower and bathtub looked a bit worn, and the water pressure could have been stronger. It was also somewhat tricky to get the water to the right temperature. Unfortunately, there is some construction going on just outside the Hotel and the pool area at the moment, which makes fully relaxing by the pool a bit challenging. The breakfast buffet could also be improved for guests who are lactose intolerant or vegan: There were very limited options and no milk alternatives, which I would expect from a 4-star hotel, even in Egypt. That said, aside from these points, everything else was amazing and the overall experience was still extremely positive.

Very dated and in need of room repairs. Shower screen broken, tap not working. Glad it was only one night. Food took 45 minutes to arrive despite only 2 other couple in dining room, and once we were served, I knew why. Oven baked French fries. Below par for a hotel, let alone any venue outside one’s own home.

This hotel is high up above Aswan and overlooks the city and the Nile. If you get a Nile view room the view is stunning Good buffet breakfast with the option to sit outside in the sun and enjoy the view Experience was ruined by being ripped off by the hotel for a taxi to the airport. They charged 20 times the going rate but by the time we found out it was too late to organise an alternative. Very annoying end to what would have been a nice stay

Only stayed here one night at the end of our trip. Similar to the first hotel where we stayed 3 nights before going on a boat, this hotel is rather dated, much more so in fact. It’s spacious and the rooms are good but the place is a bit shabby when you start to look closely. The pool area is covered in very faded astroturf and the sun loungers a bit stained. You can order drinks and food from the restaurant while sunning yourself. Talking of which, we only had an evening meal here and went for the buffet which was very good, less fussy than at the first hotel. Some in our group had à la carte but didn’t seem enamoured with it so stick with the former. The hotel is opposite the Nubian Museum, worth a visit, and some in our group ventured into the city on foot which was 30 minutes away. Overall, a decent enough hotel for Egypt for a short stay.

Good hotel for your stay in Aswan, it is fairly central and the rooms are spacious and clean. There is also a in house restaurant for convenience. The staff is very kind and ready to help , especial mention to Mohamed negm who helped us with a big issue ( lost of a passport) he went above and beyond to help us make all the phone calls and get the passport back even outside his shift, so we are super thankful to Mohamed for his outstanding attention!
