the hotel was in a great location, 1 minute from exit c of dengshikou station and less than 10 minute walk from the wangfujing pedestrian street - there was also a supermarket open until 10pm within a few minutes walk which provided a lot more options than the 24 hour convenience store across the street. Staff were wonderful, especially concierge who were extremely organised especially with food deliveries and taobao orders (other hotels I stayed in china my parcels often got misplaced etc but concierge always found my parcels here instantly). The room potentially hasn't been fully updated since the hotel opened (maybe some minor updates here and there) so there was some dated decor but it was still in impeccable condition for the age of the hotel and I found it to be extremely clean and well kept. The laundry room was free and laundry detergent was included for hotel guests to use at their leisure. I can also confirm when I stayed in late april I was able to use AC in my room and keep the room at a temparture around 21 degrees (sometimes hotels in china turn off the central unit and only allow heating until the summer but it was on here in late april).
