Hotel Villa Carlotta

All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Location was good. Easy to walk into Taormina. We had two excellent dinners in the lovely rooftop restaurant. Breakfast also very good with lots of choice. We liked the location of our garden suite with easy access to the garden and pool with a nice terrace and outdoor seating.

The bedroom and bathroom of our garden suite 22 were nice but the living area was very dark, tired looking and felt very depressing with an old sofa and inadequate lighting. Luckily we could open the windows during the day to bring in some light. Would recommend putting in some more lighting to brighten up the room and maybe time to change that old sofa! The bathroom also was windowless and didn’t seem to have a fan.

I had read reviews but they don’t do justice to this fabulous hotel. We stayed in an apartment. It was incredible. Of all of our time in Italy traveling this was the best. The staff was friendly and lovely to work with. We ate dinner in their restaurant. Normally I stay away from hotel restaurants but I had the Sicilian style grouper. It was the best dinner I had in the 3 weeks I have been traveling. The waiters and staff were wonderful. The views from the restaurant are beautiful, overlooking the water. They have a lovely pool and small workout room if you want to use it. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good location efficient and friendly staff

Overcharge for eggs - 5 euros per egg and an astonishing 15 euros for some avocado !!!! Starters and mains 35 plus per plate - too much for what they serve

On our trip to Sicily this was our favorite hotel. In fact, it kind of spoiled us for the hotels that followed afterwards! The building was beautiful both inside and out, with charming touches at every turn. Our hotel room had the MOST BEAUTIFUL ocean view, and the top floor dining room, where a fabulous breakfast was served, had endless ocean views and sea breezes. We ate dinner one night at their restaurant and it was perfection. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The room, the bed , the pillows, the pool, the breakfast (including the incomparable view), the staff and the location (a bit removed from the crowds).

There isn’t anything to complain about.

The location and size of the property. The style, architecture. It’s just beautiful villa situated in the center of Taormina but cause well fenced letting dwellers staying intimate and comfortable.

I would say, the villa needs being a bit refreshed. For instance some showers didn’t work, some sockets or some lightings didn’t work. Nothing critical but in such price should have been fixed. Quite noisy evenings due the loud music from the restaurant in the direct neighborhood. The music were stopping long after midnight.

Villa Carlotta is a treasure. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. The ruins are a 10 minute walk. The views are beautiful, especially from their nice restaurant. We booked one of their luxury apartments nearby, and it was spacious with two bedrooms and bathrooms, with a wonderful view, and near a lovely public garden. Beds were very comfortable and there was a living room, kitchen, and washing machine. Water pressure was good. AC in all rooms. There is a shuttle to a beach club associated with hotel. The staff were completely attentive and friendly to us. We felt valued and cared for. Stay here!
