I'd say the two biggest benefits I received when I stayed at Sands Harbor are the location (which I've seen many people mention) and the service from the team. I have to personally shout out one of the team members in particular: Daniel. Daniel is someone that seems to both genuinely enjoy meeting people AND seems to care about the experiences that people have at their stay. I ended up checking in after a LONG uber ride in traffic to the hotel in rush hour traffic (ugh) and when I arrived I was third in line. I was ready to zone out until my turn but I immediately noticed how Danjel was chatting up each guest and going above and beyond with each of their issues. I was trying not to ear hustle (lol) but I was genuinely impressed at all the details he was sharing and how patient he was being with questions. For example, the person in front of me seemed to be a return guest and Daniel immediately remembered his name and asked about what was bringing him to town this time. And when he got to me, he kept that same energy and gave me a full rundown of everything, additional Pompano sites to visit and transportation resources since I didn't have my car (FYI: there's a local electric shuttle called Circuit that was really convenient). That may seem to be a small thing but I travel a lot and I know how often team members at the desk can hurry you along in the interest of moving though the line (understandably) but they often sacrifice on the service to do that. And if that wasn't enough, when i went to my room, I noticed a couple small things that might have been missed by the cleaning/room inspection (one of which looked like something related to someone smoking); since the hotel is strictly non-smoking I came back let the desk know so I wouldn't be charged. Daniel was apologetic and insisted he put me in a new room so that not only could those issues be addressed for the next guest in that room and they could do another inspection but also I could rest easier in a new room! And every team member at the hotel that I spoke to, or even encountered in passing, was super courteous. It's that kind of service that puts me at ease when I'm traveling. That combined with the under a block location to the beach/restaurants/stores and the comfy stay would definitely have me return! They also have some great amenities AND activities available: you get nightly credit at their onsite restaurant Lola's and you van rent jetskis and even these cute car boat things (you have to see them lol) to ride up the intercoastal waterway! And they had flyers for things like "Pilate's and Prosecco" (which I thought was hilarious and cute) so they clearly do activities to guests. They're updating the hotel so there is some noise if you come back early on in the day, but I spent most of my time at the beach so it wasn't bad. Plus the rooms look great so the upgrades are worth it lol. Definitely will be back if I'm ever in this area again!!

Amazing experience. We were warmly welcomed by Daniel. He provided a truly personalized experience and gave us outstanding service throughout our stay. He was always happy to see us and always ready to bring us anything we needed. We were having a problem with our reservation, and he made sure everything was changed and corrected properly for us. His positive attitude made our experience even better. The service in general was excellent, and everyone made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you, Daniel, for everything and for making our stay so memorable. We truly appreciated all your kindness and hospitality.

Im still in shock that the Sands Harbor has turned into what it is now. $50 per person to jump in the pool? No thanks. We've always been big spenders here, but that's just absurd. The sound system was laughable, the umbrella policy was inconsistent, and don't even get started on the room rental policy capped out at 2 people, that we would never even stay in. The hotel is extremely dated charging hard rock resort day prices. We'll just take our business elsewhere. What this establishment has turned into is an absolute abomination that is enjoyed by NO LOCAL. Sad
