Sands Harbor Resort and Marina

Don’t come here! I will never visit this place again. I paid for a daycation package and the entire experience was terrible from start to finish. I was checked in by the sassy front desk guy. Right in front of me, a white-presenting couple was personally escorted to the lounge area, greeted warmly by staff, and immediately brought their bottle of prosecco and water. Meanwhile, after I was checked in I was given no direction, I had to ask nor I was greeted by staff on the deck. Once I got outside, I sat in the blazing Florida heat for nearly an hour because there weren’t enough umbrellas available — which is ridiculous considering it was 98 degrees. What made it worse was watching the waiter go around checking on every white or white-presenting guest while completely ignoring me. He never once asked if I needed anything. I finally had to stop another staff member and explain what was happening before the waiter finally came over and introduced himself and asked if I needed anything. He finally brought over the items that were already included in the package I paid for and informed me that the items were being comp, but in fact I had paid for them already when I purchased the package, just weird! Then came the umbrella situation. I asked a female staff member if there were any additional umbrellas because the heat was unbearable. I also mentioned that another couple nearby needed one too. When an umbrella finally became available, staff walked right past me and tried to give it to the white-presenting couple instead. Thankfully, the young woman from that couple insisted that I receive it. The fact that a guest had to step in says everything. To top it all off, I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, only to bite into raw chicken. Completely unacceptable. Finally, after getting into the pool for a short time, the same sassy front desk employee came over to my chair and removed my umbrella because I “wasn’t using it” while in the pool. Apparently, paying for a lounge chair doesn’t entitle you to keep the umbrella if you step away for a few minutes. So according to them, guests are supposed to either sit under the umbrella the entire time or lose it. Absolutely ridiculous. The entire experience gave me strange vibes from the moment I walked in, and I should have trusted my instincts and left. I do not recommend this place at all.

Great spot right on the inter coastal and right around the corner from pompano beach (10-12min walk). Large room with balcony. Lovely Pool and outdoor Bar area. Brittany at the Front Desk couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. She definitely added to our stay. Damel, one of the Valets, was also very helpful & friendly. There is also a Restaurant with patio, but I can’t comment as we didn’t utilize. There’s a great Irish Pub around the corner BRINEY’s. Great selection of Draft Beer & extensive menu…I had a Cheeseburger & it was the best I had had in a while. We stayed pre-cruise so hotel was a little far North and taxi from FLL was pricey, however we used LYFT to take us to Port Everglades, which made it much more affordable, so we will seriously consider this property for a pre cruise stay in the future.

Nice place, clean room, fun pool area

We are fortunate to experience many beautiful hotels and restaurants across South Florida, and I say this with full confidence — Sands Harbor is unlike anything we have ever experienced. Not only because of the stunning penthouse, not only because of the breathtaking Intracoastal views, not because of the incredible food and drinks. But because of the people. And I have never in my life remembered over ten names from a single property. Until now. From the moment we arrived Helen made sure our entire experience was nothing short of perfect. She was professional, responsive, warm and went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely special before we even set foot on the property. Working with her was an absolute pleasure and set the tone for everything that followed. Yidian Daniel, our valet, welcomed us at the entrance with the kind of smile that immediately puts you at ease. He took care of our belongings, parked our car, and handled everything with grace and genuine care. The kind of person who makes a stressful moment feel effortless without you even realizing he is doing it. Dmitry at the bar is something else entirely. The bar at Sands Harbor is packed. Constantly. And Dmitry never stops, never loses his energy, and somehow makes every single person feel like they are his only customer. The drinks are incredible but honestly his presence alone is worth the visit. Melissa the general manager absolutely blew me away. This woman was everywhere. Welcoming guests, serving, managing, checking in — dressed impeccably and working from morning until night without missing a beat. In a place that was absolutely popping she made sure every single guest felt taken care of. I watched her and I was genuinely in awe. That is leadership. That is love for what you do. John the night manager was equally incredible. So warm, so welcoming and so genuinely accommodating. You could feel his energy the second he walked into a room. Lydia the dock manager checked on us constantly even though we did not arrive by boat. She just wanted to make sure we were good. That kind of attention to detail is rare and it did not go unnoticed. And our server — gorgeous, brown hair, the most beautiful smile — took care of us both at the pool and at brunch. I wish I had caught her name because she deserves every bit of recognition. She was attentive, warm and made every single interaction feel personal. Every single one of these people played such an important role in our experience. They did not just do their jobs. They showed up with their whole hearts and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly left. You can feel that whoever built this place built it with love. And they hired people who feel exactly the same way.Sands Harbor is not just a hotel. It is a feeling. And Broward has been sleeping on it far too long. Wouldn't this be on your Broward Bucket List too? 🌴

The bed was comfortable,

however the floor was old and there were roaches running around. The location and building is good but they need a overall renovation for the price they are charging $200 night

Had an amazing experience at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina! The atmosphere was great, the hotel was beautiful, and Lola’s was definitely one of my favorite spots — such a fun vibe with excellent service and drinks. A special thank you to the valet attendant, Yidian Daniel, for being so kind, professional, and welcoming. He made everything smooth and easy from the moment we arrived. His positive attitude and great customer service really stood out and made the experience even better.

I stayed at the resort today, May 9th, and I absolutely loved the experience. The quality of the service and especially the warm hospitality made everything feel so welcoming from the very beginning. I was celebrating in Penthouse 904, and the atmosphere throughout the property was amazing. I’ve visited Sands Harbor Resort and Marina many times before, and the staff has always been wonderful, but I have to say that nobody has ever welcomed me with such a genuine and warm smile like Joe at the front desk did today. His energy, professionalism, and kindness truly stood out and made me feel valued as a guest from the moment I arrived. Joe went above and beyond to make the experience memorable, and his customer service deserves to be recognized. Thank you for making such a special day even better!
