It was quiet, the breakfast was good. I had the opportunity to rest. I didn’t have a love seat or sofa and the chairs were not comfortable. The staff was friendly.

Only the location, which is close to Longwood University.

When you can't get a good night’s rest, due to the bed being very uncomfortable, it makes your whole day to be unpleasant. Plus, my family stayed 2 nights during the time of renovation and the noise level was very loud, the breakfast was cold, and your front desk representative Jessica was not friendly at all.

They were undergoing renovations and the lobby was closed and the place was a mess. I understand places need to be spruced up. However they still wanted to charge me $150/night.

I paid for a king room, but when I received my room key it was an queen double bed room. I was not happy with that. I went back to the office and requested to what I had paid for in advance. The staff worker during that time was not helpful at all. So by 9pm I went back to the office to find out what could be done to accommodate my stay. The young lady that was on duty at that time did apologize to me and she was able to get me into the right room that I paid for. I didn't get her name but she was very helpful.

The drain in the shower was clogged and I had to clean it out myself because there wasn't any maintenance personnel on duty

The hotel was in process of being renovated. Our guest room smelled very strongly of carpet glue, or something like that. There was blue painter’s tape on the corner guards in our room. On Saturday morning about 8:30 construction on the floor beneath us resumed, with lots of banging and racket, very annoying. We had no idea the place was under renovation when we booked this hotel. There was one luggage cart and we had to wait to get it to check out. My husband lugged out some suitcases one at a time so we could get out on time. For the price paid for the room, it was very disappointing.

Renovated room was nice, clean, and had great amenities. Staff was pleasant. Check in was easy. Lobby still under construction but easy to find and access check in space.

A very nice hotel.
