The Hilton Sant’Angelo SLH is out of this world. There is nowhere like it. Its location in the third oldest city in the world - Sasso Caveoso Matera - with its 10,000 year old caves is spectacular. Each room in the hotel is unique. The views are amazing and there is so much to explore. To top it all off, the staff are both elegant and professional.

Very cool hotel- but be prepared for unusual room configurations and less than perfect temperature control. The lovely staff, amazing food and unforgettable atmosphere are well worth any non standard quirks of the room

Staying in the caves was a very cool experience and the rooms were very nice and clean. Check in experience was great and the parking situation was clear and easy. Breakfast was underwhelming and getting back to the car was difficult as you need to take a shuttle to parking and they had a hard time coordinating between the driver and front desk for a pickup before 10:30am. Overall very good stay for 1 night.

San Angelo is a wonderful luxury hotel. It gives you a sense of the geographic region of Madera and the historic perspective as well. Matera beingan ancient city developed over many centuries it’s preserved very well. The staff and restaurant, amenities an experiences at the hotel who offer a luxury and we would highly recommend a stay at San Angelo. The location is excellent, and the views are amazing.

I stayed at Sant'Angelo to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn't have made a better choice. This place is magical, not to mention my room, that was equipped with all comforts and prepared in all details. The whole staff was so attentive and careful and responded to my requests and needs with precision and courtesy. What I also loved about the hotel were the dining facilities Regia Corte and Più Sud that offer delicious specialties of the local kitchen with an impeccable service. It is definitely a place that you cannot miss for the world!

Horrible experience. No respect for lifetime Diamond membership Hilton. No upgrade Noisy room with sundown to glass containers of restaurant. Poor value for money.
