Hotel Hamar

Beautiful views, great places to see the aurora borealis. Friendly staff, very comfortable accommodations.

We stayed 2 nights in March. Our room was very comfortable n had a beautiful Mountain View. Breakfast buffet n dinner were delicious. Staff was helpful n friendly. I hope to return to the HH someday soon. Thank you HH staff for a nice comfortable visit.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was very clean and cozy and we got to see the Northern lights here thank God!

Great hotel in a quiet part of the island. This was a nice jumping off point for touring the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Nice facilities. The cabins are very comfortable!

We stayed in the bungalow which was very new and clean. It looks exactly as presented in the pictures. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was decent. The bungalows have their own outdoor hot tub and sauna area which was nice. There are about 12 bungalows total (I think), so it could get crowded in that hot tub and sauna when the hotel is busy given they weren’t very big. It seems like a good place to see northern lights, we just didn’t get lucky during our stay. Only downside from our stay was no smart tv (unless we just weren’t able to figure it out), but you can easily plug in an Amazon fire stick. Also, due to some issue, the hot tub was more like a warm tub. We recognize things happen so we won’t let it affect the review, but still disappointing. Overall would recommend

We got upgraded to the deluxe cabins which were fantastic for star gazing and northern lights viewing. The room was big and clean. Only thing is the room was not warm enough even with max heater on. However, it was a very nice experience overall.

Our room was upgraded to a cabin and it was absolutely amazing. We had access to the hot tube and the sauna and we even saw northern lights. One of my best hotel stay ever
