Heritage Lodge - in the Daintree

Great peaceful location & lovely hosts. Highly recommended!

We chose this property due to its location for access to the Daintree & Cape Tribulation.

We had booked 2 nights here & when we arrived in the late afternoon we were advised that their restaurant was closed for the next 2 nights due to few guests. As in-house dining was a key decision point in us choosing this property, since there are no nearby dinner options, then this was disappointing. The front desk recommended some dining options so we drove for 20 kms to find it was closed. Eventually after driving further we found a very basic pub that was open. The staff should have been aware of what other dining options were open, particularly as they had closed their own restaurant. Be aware that there is no WIFI or TV or mobile phone reception in the cabins. The cabins are basic & not fair value for the tariff. We cancelled out the second night & the front desk staff understood. They did not offer any adjustment to the tariff.

Owner was amazing and went out of her way to help us.

Fabulous immersion in the rainforest. Our unit was clean and comfortable. The staff and owner were delightful and made our stay very welcoming. They were very informative about the area and history. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and very generous and it was a lovely walk through the trees at night to the dining area. Best of all was a pre-breakfast swim in the waterhole a short walk away - a very memorable and unexpected experience!

Noisy nighttime neighbours were a disappointment - but in no respects a reflection of the Lodge.

Insbesondere das Abendessen war ganz hervorragend. Doe Unterkunft haz einen super kreativen Koch. Darüberhinaus ost das gesamte Personal aktiv am unterstützen eines angenehmen Aufenthalts.
