Hotel Alto Lido

Staff on arrival desk were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and nicely appointed, with excellent view. Breakfast in the restaurant had varied options for everyone, replenished regularly and staff were plentiful, friendly and efficient.

Not much really. Only downside for us was the pillows were too soft and TV channels in English wete a little limited, but no show-stopper there!

Lovely hotel would recommend it was very busy but the staff coped well breakfast lots of choice and so much food anything you can think of . Chef cooking eggs etc lots of waiters and managers organising food etc . Room was nice I saw the housekeeper cleaning a room when someone checked out getting ready for the next guest and boy was it getting cleaned . Outdoor pool was nice indoor pool was larger lots of comfy sunbeds. Sauna steam room is 5e each for an hour and you need to book disappointment you had to pay but we did go twice and enjoyed . Gymn was small but good kit in there . Hotel has a great position in lido 45 min walk to Funchal and 10 min to the sea front with but long walk way which stunning . Just one point I thought 6e for two cokes was expensive so we only had two cokes we went to the nearby supermarket which was cheap . Overall great hotel would visit again enjoyed our stay .

The room was big and nicely decorated. Breakfast was okay. The sauna was good. From the hotel, you can walk to the city center in half an hour.

The soundproofing was poor. Our room was on the first floor above the bar and there was some noice from the live band of the evening. Sleeping without earplugs early in the evening is difficult if you are a sensitive sleeper. I think that this was not taken into account in the price of the room.

Emplacement parfait près des restaurants et dans les zones de prise en charge des tour operators. Grande chambre, propreté impeccable et room service quotidient. Buffet de petit-déjeuner copieux, varié et savoureux. Personnel agréable !

Nettes Hotel, gute Lage. Top Frühstück mit sehr großer Auswahl. Geräumige Zimmer.

Zimmer mit „seitlichem Meerblick“ gebucht, Ausblick war jedoch auf eine Betonmauer. Daher für Ausblick eher die Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick buchen. Personal hat die Buchung des Parkhauses nicht freigeschaltet weshalb man jedes Mal klingeln musste bei jeder Ein- und Ausfahrt. Fehler wurde nur auf Nachfrage behoben, nicht proaktiv. Einige Mitarbeiter waren jedoch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, nur leider nicht alle.
