Hotel Alto Lido

Hotel agréable avec des chambres spacieuses et bien équipées et modernes, décoration de l hôtel très chic .

Le coffre fort est payant (incompréhensible ! ) et problème d’isolation dans les chambres . On entend les voisins peu discrets . Salle de petit déjeuner et restaurant buffet très bruyante et peu qualitatif .

L'hôtel et top l'emplacement est super. Nous sommes ravis.

Lovely hotel, clean and modern. Friendly and capable staff. Live music in the bar most evenings. Very nice buffet breakfast. Would stay here again. Great location with several restaurants within walking distance.

Had a wonderful short break with my husband, toddler and my sister and brother in law. The staff are just wonderful at this hotel and treated us very well. We stayed all inclusive and the food in the restaurant was delicious and amazing quality. The cheese selections and fresh fruit were the highlights! Pasta dishes also divine. Wines were really tasty and a lovely touch to have cans of Coke Zero, sprite etc… Pools great - indoor pool and the baby pool were perfect for our toddler. The room was brilliant - little kitchen area for warming bottles and we were right by the pools which was also a lovely touch. The decor is stunning - very boutique hotel! We also used the shuttle bus to explore Funchal which was a lovely morning out. Thank you so much Alto Lido.

Our first visit to the Alto Lido and can't speak highly enough of it. So, firstly the slight negatives because I want the review to finish on a high. The evening entertainment was nice easy listening music however, for us it was just too loud for the space. And the lifts which must be the slowest ever! The staff at the hotel were brilliant, efficient and friendly. We were on a B&B package and the breakfast buffet was extremely varied with hot and cold choices, plentiful and constantly replenished. Big shout for Leonel and the other Maritimo fans in the restaurant! The facilities are excellent, indoor pool at 28 degrees, outdoor at 24. Nice gym, terrace areas, bar area and some nice comfy seating outside the front of the hotel. The standard room was a good size with a nice balcony but could have done with a bit more drawer space or bedside cabinet rather than a table. Maid service was excellent and the only noise was people not closing their doors quietly! We're booked for next year and already looking forward to our return.
