Hotel Alto Lido

Pros: - spacious, modern and clean room - very comfy bed - lovely view (side sea view) - location is a bit of a walk to the main area but it’s straightforward and plenty of shops, cafes and views along the way. We actually enjoyed spending some time in the area around the hotel, particularly the cafe/bar next door - Loja dos vinhos - also a large supermarket next door - free shuttle bus to/from the centre several times a day, and an Uber is generally around €5-6 - large terrace area with an adequate size pool at the back of it - plenty of choice at breakfast including pastries, cava, hot items, and eggs made to order Cons: - limited and basic toiletries in the bathroom (shower gel only) - very rude other guests, mostly large groups of unfriendly Europeans (not the hotels fault!) - the main restaurant was very noisy during busy times and feels quite cramped as there isn’t any outdoor space and minimal windows/natural lighting - use of the safe should be included in the room price as it is at most hotels

Great breakfast and kind staff.

Long queue times for elevators. Felt like 4 was needed, only two exists. Non-existent soundproof from outside the door, so people walking by the door or closing their doors, was very loud. Not good for light sleepers.

A clean and comfortable hotel that's just out of town, with a free shuttle bus. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Nice flower displays. Good availability of sunbeds on the roof terrace and pool looked clean. Breakfast was nice and varied. A cute robot vacuum cleaner that we named Vernon, who was also polite! Not too many English people during our stay (seemed mainly German/French). Only downside was the lift(s), wholly inadequate for the number of guests - often full, meaning you had to wait for some time. I would stay here again.

Śniadania przepiękne, widoki na ocean, wygodne pokoje oraz cisza. Parking podziemny. Baseny oraz sauny. Same plusy. Personal w większości swojej zna dodatkowo język niemiecki. Żywa muzyka wieczorem przy barze.

Tak jak bym do Niemiec pojechał. Ceny na barze również jak w niemcach. Nie byliśmy w sezonie ale windy zatkane ludźmi, jednak wydłuża to czas oczekiwania.

La chambre très confortable. La navette gratuite pour le centre de Funchal. Piscines correctes.

Piscine intérieure peu chauffée.

Atendimento, quarto e comodidades, pequeno almoço.

Valor de garagem para estacionamento de veículos. Não estacionei a viatura por esse motivo

Used sauna, pools, gym, massage.

My room was located on 2nd floor and I could hear base from music from downstairs echoing sometimes very late in the night past 22:00 or 23:00

Zimmer und Aussicht super. Lage gut. Gratis Hotelbus (4x) ins Zentrum. Busstation in der Nähe. Zu Fuss ca 40 Min. ins Zentrum. Restaurant The Tale im Hotel sehr gut, aber auch nicht preiswert.

Tagsüber ist die Strasse unterhalb von Hotel sehr laut, in der Nacht jedoch wenig Verkehr. Frühstücksraum im Sous-Sol wenn voll sehr eng und laut.
