Hotel Astoria

Property was okay, not amazing. It’s a bit rough. No A/C makes for some hot nights if the temperature is above 20 Celsius. Staff were nice and helpful. Location wise is excellent with S-bahn and U-bahn trains with 2 minute walk. Lots of bars and restaurants close by too

I booked for one night through Expedia and paid. I called the front desk 2 hours before arriving if I can check in immediately and the answer was yes. When I arrived front desk told me that they are booked out and I need to go to another hotel 2km away. Then finally I got the room key. That was not a pleasant experience after i paid for the room, and verified that I can move in being told 11pm in the night that I need to go to another hotel.

Where to start… we booked the family room which is not located in the hotel. It’s around the corner above a night club. The bathroom was newly renovated and the only thing besides the linens that were clean. The plugs aren’t secure and when I plugged in my charger, it sparked and killed my charger. The tv doesn’t work and the wifi wasn’t useful.

Great property

Heating system in the room completely broken. Had to leave the windows wide open at 5°C outside due to tropical temperatures in the room. Impossible to sleep due to noise of nightclub located right under the room, located at a different address than the rest of the hotel. Had to shorten the rest of the day in Stuttgart due to sleep depravation and return home early. The hotel did not seem to see any problems putting a family of four including two small children in this situation and reception was not able to provide any useful solution apart from "send an email to the manager on Monday" and threatening us to call the police if would complain any further We would never had expected to live such a situation in a city like Stuttgart. Worse hotel we've ever been to

Our room wasn’t available, so we were given suites. They were amazing. Thank you.

the photos are not very accurate of the actual property and were probably taken when the hotel first opened as the furniture and everything in the hotel now is a lot more tired. check in was easy enough but there was no customer service or pleasantry in it. in fact we had to wait until the staff finished their conversation before they even said hello or addressed us. found it very disappointing as well that there are building road works right outside the hotel and no one notified us.

Bedbugs! They changed my room very quickly but I was so bit up that I had to leave early. And they wouldn't refund my two remaining days even though it was their situation that caused me to leave.

Arrived at main desk. But taken elsewhere!! TBf the room was big. Broken furniture, no Air con (broken with an energy drink can in the mechanism) = the most uncomfortable and concerning sleep ever with two young kids. Zero customer service.
