Hotel Astoria

Incredible value for money! Clean, quiet for half of the price I was expecting to pay. Really the best!

NO A/C. TERRIBLE PLAACE TO BE. DIRTY FLOORS

This is about the suite of the hotel, which is in a neighboring building; the normal hotel rooms might be different. The suite looks nice, and does have enough space and beds for my family, but if has many defects that become apparent only later. It has a big shower room, looks nice, but the shower and all faucets in the two sinks are connected to hot water only; so a shower is limited to about twenty seconds before the water gets too hot. There is also a bathroom of the size of the airplane toilet, with a door so narrow that some people will not fit through. There is a kitchen area, with sink, dishwasher, hot plate, refrigerator, but there are no spoons, forks, knives, plates, pots, we could not even make tea, there is nothing to heat water in. Inside the refrigerator. The door to the freezer compartment is broken off. The reception could not give us a city map. And on Saturday night, a club below played music that shook the floor and the beds until 5am. Never again use the suite in the Astoria hotel in Stuttgart.

The hotel was ok. Better than a hostel and walking distance to the shopping district.

Very nice. Parking is very limited. I was worried about the area when I pulled up, but it was fine. I thought it would be a dive, but if you stay there, you will see that they are remodeling it. It looks very nice - the work they have done so far. New floors everywhere. The bathroom was very clean and nice. Does not smell. Breakfast room very clean. Great breakfast. Service was perfect.

Being an exterminator, upon checking into my room, I immediately check for bed bugs. This place was overrun. There was evidence of bed bugs on both beds. We went to the check in area to ask for a refund and were immediately denied. Even the $40 in cash we just gave them for parking. Can’t NOT recommend this place enough. Please don’t do this to yourself. Spend another $5 and get a different spot. Bed bugs and horrible staff. Worst hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune of checking into.
