Fairfield Inn Sacramento Cal Expo

I like the division of the courtyard and the hotel. Gave it an easy understanding of the layout.

Facility remodeled and nice, staff rude.

We stayed 3 nights and saw a small baby cockroach dead on the bathroom floor when we first came in. The AC unit smelled horrible and musty to the point that we asked to switch rooms. The next one smelled better in the room but the bathroom smelled like something died in there. Probably in the wall I’m guessing. And then my son went to use his labtop and a giant cockroach went running over his keyboard. We had only had the labtop out for about an hour.. I couldn’t sleep at all. Cockroaches are everywhere outside at night. They need better pest control for the outter perimeter to limit them getting into the hotel. And the pool is gross with black mold. Staff is friendly. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cockroach issue. I had insurance for this stay and was DENIED any money back, they don’t cover insect issues what a joke! $120 a night for cockroach infested rooms and hair in the bed upon arrival!

In midst of Reno. No fitness ctr. Breakfast was at another hotel. Extremely disappointed with lack of amenities that it was advertised as having

Desk clerk at 8 pm told us he’d put together a little togo breakfast for us to pickup on our way out the door but the overnight guy was clueless. Nice idea but don’t offer and then flake out on it.

Good stay,staff is gelpfull checled in quick and good service. Pool was clean and peefect temperature. Close to lot of poi ts of interest, good stay.
