Caprice Isabel Aparthotel

Spent a week here. Good bits - food choice, rooms are clean, pool is a good size and staff in the restaurant and bar are very good. Bad bits - checked in at 1am and the only staff member on duty had limited English. Was given an information sheet and pointed in the general direction of our room. Wasnt told that the other smaller key on our fob was to turn onnthe electricity next to a small fuse box near the door. Which we did eventually find in the dark at 1:30am. The sun beds are packed together closely so you have to crawl onto them and the ones under the parasols all have towels on them by 6:30am and are all reserved by 7:30am. The pool area needs a daily scrub, they do hose it down daily but this leaves puddles and doesnt get the dirt out of the pitted surface. I put this on my feedback form and it was mopped once the next day, but still left the dirt. There was also a black mouldy rim under the pool rim in most places. We asked for a late check out 2 days before leaving and was told it was not a problem but to come backvthe day before. We did this and was abruptly told 'no space'. Explained we had a 7 hour gap between checking out and being picked up, temp was 35 so we'd need a shower. I was told i could use the open shower at the side of the pool and they'd give us a towel. i asked if we could have an extra hour but were told 'not possible'. When we checked out we realised she'd left an item in the room. She went back to the room and it had not been cleaned 2 hrs later!

Amazing fresh, clean and friendly hotel, a real gem that puts most other hotels to shame,great quality food and service and lots of small details in place to make your holiday relaxing and enjoyable, a very friendly and well managed hotel where you can relax and feel a home.

Wonderful 5 days stay with my other half. Staff were friendly & helpful but one or two rude waiters. The room was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Toilet smelt sometimes needed a good clean. Nearby beach but hotel offers shuttle to another bigger beach. All in all great stay & would recommend.

As title of review, 4th visit and 2nd visit this year, May & June. The only problem with this hotel is the evening entertainment is mediocre, but Alex (Entertainment Manager) makes up for it. All rooms are large 1 bedroom self catering apartments with everything you would need. Most guests are AI, some are half board. Food is excellent, great choices and mostly hot, chefs cook food in front of you. Staff very friendly. Nice 15 minute walk into the centre of Cala Bona, lovely fishing port with good bars and restaurants. As frequent holiday makers to Spain this is one hotel we can highly recommend without any reservations and we will certainly be returning.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good food with a reasonable amount of verity. Hotel was a good walk to the nearest beach and not to close to bars or restaurants. Plenty of free parking.

Hotel had everything we needed, it was in need of renovation also catered more for 60+, entertainment was poor, it made us cringe, Alberto the activities guy had no energy or charisma, he was almost annoying. Daytime music was for age 70+, there were no designated smoking areas which meant you sat in smoke for the entertainment, by the pool, sat having a drink and also on your balcony we couldn't open our balcony door as it just let in people's smoke. There were lots of downsides, but, overall, we did have a relaxing week, ate and drank too much and just laughed off the environment we were in :-/

Lovely welcome food excellent room comfortable and clean one draw back should have designated smoking areas and not round the pool .

On arriving at 22:45 on the Monday evening we were greeted by friendly staff and a glass of bubbly each. As all inclusive alcoholic drinks finish at 23:00, we spent our first evening out in Cala Bona Port, which was a comfortable 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms although basic, were comfortable and very clean, with daily maid service to make beds, exchange towels and mop floors etc. During the day, we spent a lot of time around the pool, where there were plenty of sunbeds and a number of parasols (although some of these were past best (end of season???)). At meal times, there was a good selection of food and even the fussiest of eaters (of which I am quite fussy) could find something to eat. The snack station was also very useful between meals, if feeling a little peckish and for getting soft drinks and lager for refreshment. Evening entertainment was not the best, although we did enjoy the hand shadow puppetry on the Wednesday and the music quiz on the Friday. All in all a lovely holiday that provided great value for money!

We booked a 4 night all inclusive stay which was fantastic, it was our first time doing all inclusive and worked out excellent value for money. We are vegetarian/no pork and the food options were very limited. Pork was served at every single meal and there was very little choice of other meats. The salad bar was great as was the fresh fruit. The pool area is very nice and entertainment varied. It was disappointing that on our last day there that there was a huge inflatable in the pool all day making it rather in-accessible to anyone other than the children that were playing on it. The room was of a good basic standard and very clean, the shower pressure was excellent and air conditioning very good as well. We found the reception staff to be very helpful. Cala Bona is beautiful and a lovely peaceful resort.
