The Chequers Hotel

Room was a good size with good facilities. The hotel is in an ideal location, within walking distance of the town, canal, and river. On arrival we asked about a vegan breakfast, and the receptionist immediately arranged it with the chef for the next morning. The vegan breakfast was excellent and much appreciated.

A well priced hotel in a good location with parking as a bonus

Access to room was hickly prickly which while added to the hotels quaint English charm also made for a tedious trip with luggage.

Lovely old coaching inn, good value for money, excellent location. A little worn at the edges, but that added to its charm.

The coffee at breakfast...oh dear.

We ended up with a parking fine as we recorded a digit of the car registration incorrectly but on speaking to Emma she kindly cancelled the parking fine within a day which was greatly appreciated

The breakfast was not as good as we had hoped
