Lovely to be in a old style property however due to this it smelt damp and was in need of a freshen up. Rooms were a good size. Ample parking

TV very small in rooms, for the size of the rooms a bigger TV is needed. Minimum effort with regard to Tea and Coffee Facilities in rooms, reception staff seemed unhappy to be there, however man in breakfast room was much cheerful

The hotel was very comfortable with good food it was ideally placed for our visit to Newbury. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Just the friendly staff. Very helpful. Property was clean.

Room was in need of redecorating with some areas, window frames for example in need of attention. Could not obtain sufficient hot water and the shower supply never became even warm after 20min running. Sink stopper did not work.

The property location was excellent and there was free parking.

Property was dated and needed a lot of tlc. It was a bit of a maze to find your room. Also the staff could’ve been friendly and tried to hold a conversation rather than use one liners. Overall not a bad stay for the price and location but other than that I wouldn’t stay again.
