Hotel de Paris

Room was extremely small. Washroom was super tiny. Not worth the price.

It’s a quaint hotel but our room’s AC was broken, a bed light had no bulb and the tv remote did not work. We asked the night manager to help but he said he had no batteries for remote nor any lightbulbs. He also could not fix the AC. With the price of the room, you would think those items could have been fixed.

There is no lift or elevator. All rooms are up a wooden staircase. My room did not have a working air conditioner (even after they sent someone up to fix it ). The room is VERY tiny with a standard bed and a tiny shower. Many rooms are less than six feet tall some with a staircase intruding into your room. Many rooms do not have a refrigerator. Parking is a joke. You need to find your own parking on the street. This is located just out of the financial center. Parking on the street is a challenge. For the money in Montreal, you can do better.

What I found is not what they offered

Loud and inefficient air-conditioning. Coffee machine broken. No hand towel hooks.

There was good communication, clean and comfortable

It was terrible experience for me. The hotel is managed by people from India, it doesn't have anything common with Paris. The hotel is very dirty and old. The kitchen stinks a lot. It is impossible to enjoy breakfast there. We got very bad room. The bathroom was full of mould and the window was broken, it was impossible to close it. After we complained they changed our room for better, but the mould was there too and the aircondition wasnt working at all.They asked us for deposit 200 $ in cash for this terrible room. We considered it as very rude behavior from the manager and inapriopate.

Not bad but not good if you have your own vehicle

There are uphill stairs to the front entrance, it is very difficult to go up with luggage; AC is terrible noisy, I had to turn it off in order to get into sleep, but it was hot during the night, woke up couple times to turn it on and let the room being cold, turn it off...

Would not stay here. The AC was not working and we asked for a fan which we received on night 3/3. The front desk advised us we could receive a partial refund on night 2 and to inquire during checkout, but during checkout the management/staff repetitively cut me off, gaslit me saying the AC works (we put it on the fan setting to get any air moving in the very stuffy room), said he had no control over refunds and gave me the runaround with Expedia. Stay anywhere else!
