Wyndham Palmas Beach and Golf Boutique Resort

Amazing stay from start to finish. The staff were excellent and very welcoming, and everything exceeded our expectations. The pool bar was a highlight, Kayla made the most amazing drinks and truly made the experience special.

I really wanted to give this place a nice review. Some of the staff - including Jose and Natalie - went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The pools are nice, the food is quite good, the rooms were clean. But here’s the dealbreaker: our group of ten women, spread across five double rooms, had no hot water the entire time we stayed there. The hotel clearly knew about the problem, and when we complained, we were quickly offered continental breakfast vouchers and the use of a shower in another building (that would have to be shared by all ten women). Unfortunately, that shower had intermittent hot water and we were not able to take a hot shower the entirety of our stay. When we reported the issue, my roommate and I were led to believe that we would also receive a discount on our room so we tolerated the inconvenience. But when we checked out we were told that there would be no such discount. We were not allowed to speak to the manager and received no response to an email sent to the manager. Sadly, I cannot in good conscience recommend this resort.

This resort was beautiful from the outside and we were so excited for our trip until we reached our room. I was told we were getting a “renovated” room when we checked in late night/early morning. Our room was outdated and dirty on top of that. The shampoo, soap, and conditioner were watery. So if you plan to come bring your own toiletries. There was mold in the shower and rust and we occasionally got a whiff of sewage. The floors were stained and there was dirt and dust in the corners. Even showering felt gross, there was little small hairs left behind in the shower. We tried to get a room change but everything was apparently booked and it was frustrating arriving 4/5am just to sleep in a disgusting room with cheap amenities. The next day we were told we were going to get a priority cleaning for our room. The little hairs in the shower were still there but the shower was wet? We also started smelling cologne randomly in the room only to find out one of our pillows reeked of cologne (not his). And some pillows had a mildew smell. They also provided small body lotions that are being refilled in dirty bottles. We were so disappointed especially with the price of the resort and the resort fees. Being outdated is fine but at least provide a clean room? Nothing felt clean and we felt icky the entire stay, even after our “priority cleaning.” I never write reviews but this was unacceptable, I have never stayed in a hotel or even motel this dirty. I’m leaving two stars because the outside of the resort is stunning and the kind workers. But the room was disappointing and they should definitely be reinvested in. Even the mirror wasn’t accurate! It elongated your entire body. I can go on and on… this was a disappointment.

Great place for a retreat. Beautiful scenery, excellent service, especially from Yara at the Trova restaurant. She was very knowledgeable and gave me great recommendations.

The hospitality from the workers is amazing and very fitting for a resort that focuses on a great relaxing experience. Personal shoutout to our attendants at the Pool Cafe Bar. Mr. Nashil treated us extremely well and even recommended very popular restaurants and night life spots. Mr. Hector was an amazing server. He was very helpful and quick to take our orders and the customer service from both was just absolutely outstanding. Thank you gentleman!!

Visited with a day pass. Great food and service! Thank you Kayla for taking care of us! My teens and I had a great visit. We will definitely be back!

Cud was the perfect bartender, courteous and service oriented. Yovan was very intelligent and gave us great advice on which food varieties they had. Awesome stay!

We loved Puerto Rico and will definitely come back. The people were great and welcoming at all times. We were underwhelmed with this property and had a few issues with our room. Most things minor but below our expectations. Rooms and the property were very clean. Not a ton of amenities on the property but a good place to relax at the beach. We preferred other areas on the island and would likely stay elsewhere in the future.

Carolina from Front Desk was wonderful! Great attitude and service. In addition, she created a memorable experience for my birthday. Total team effort, the restaurant, pool area, bazaazr, etc. Everyone provided an excellent service. Will be returning!! Thank you all!!
