Angel's Share Hotel

Had drinks in Angel Share , Magnus was a great mixologist, really recommend for cocktails. Despite range of drinks he was on top form

A lovely hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights and the room was spacious and comfortable. Great location too. The staff were wonderful upon check-in and made me feel right at home. We popped down for a couple of drinks one evening and the cocktails were amazing. Great Hotel.

Nice hotel in a historic building with lovely bar/restaurant. Rooms are small as is the norm in the area. It was very hot to sleep with no A/C and an ineffective fan with old windows that barely open however the bed was nice and we slept well in the end. Attentive staff. Checkout Johnny Walker rooftop bar next door!

Loved the location and the rooms named for prominent Scots and the b&w photographs. Room was well-equipped though there were not enough sockets. No housekeeping meant sopping towels, dirty cups, no replenished teabags and an unmade bed greeted me after a long day at conference. The uht milk was sour which wasted the last precious teabag - weird given that it could have been put in the fridge. For this reason only 4 stars given. Would be 5 easily if this were sorted out. The staff were efficient and friendly, breakfast excellent. Mid-week it was very quiet: it might not be so at weekends (hen/stag parties around) and given its brilliant location may be busy and noisy if there are large events on. Thoroughly recommend though -I’ll be going again.

Booked this as my sister and I were attending a concert at Murrayfield. We booked pretty late in the day and paid around £300 for 1 twin room only. The hotel is within a bar & restaurant and had a gorgeous kerb appeal. Friendly staff checked us in earlier than expected which was a treat. I don't think the room was worth what we paid but I appreciate it was probably more expensive due to the concert and it's in Edinburgh. The room was clean and well appointed. Fridge which was stocked, complimentary water, fresh coffee and some amazing Tunnock's Tea Cakes (nice touch)! The room had an iron and ironing board, safe, hair dryer & dressing gowns! The only negative was there were no plugs near the mirror to allow you to dry or style your hair whilst at the mirror. The nearest plug was beside the bed and the cable was too short to reach the mirror. Shower was over the bath and there was a bath mat provided to avoid any slippages! The shower was much more powerful than I expected so felt super fresh after it. Plenty of fresh towels. I am a bit of stickler when it comes to windows and the external windows were filthy, I do appreciate it is almost on the busy Princess Street and we were on the 3rd floor but I really hate dirty windows! (of course this didn't affect our stay just an observation of mine).

We spent three nights in Edinburgh before heading up to the Highlands and Hebrides. Angel's Share was a wonderful find! We easily took a bus from the airport to the hotel and then left via Waverley Train Station. The hotel was conveniently situated to both. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant served delicious meals and drinks. The room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this treasure.

Only stayed one night, room was small and lacked light, looking straight into an office. Bathroom was basic.
