"Beautiful Stay!"

8.0

Prior to our arrival, I read many reviews of Mango Bay that gave contrasting views to the resort. Here is my honest review: The location of the resort along the Coral Coast is fabulous. It is situated on a calm bay which allows for kayaking, snorkeling, swimming. The views are breathtaking and the sound of the waves and nature are truly awesome. Food at the resort was varied and quite good. The staff were amazing. The manager (Edward) was very friendly, and available (and willing) to assist as necessary. We had a beachfront Bure which was a cute cabin with a queen? Bed, toilet, small fridge and shower outside. We really enjoyed our three nights at the resort, but I can understand that people who are expecting a more luxurious experience are let down. Mango Bay is the perfect location to unwind, or spend quality time with your significant other/family. Areas of improvement include updates/renovations to the bures, the pool area (paint) and deep cleaning/power washing the lounge chairs and cushions, and the kayaks. To wrap up, we really enjoyed our stay for the solitude, the beautiful scenery and wonderful staff. Vinaka!

"Beautiful place but disgusting toilets in the rooms"

4.0

I am not a picky person at all but this place was just not appealing at all! I will start with the positive, I will give it 10/10 for the beautiful location, the pristine beach and amazing views. The gardens and greenery was very beautiful. The staff, especially Mo,was very friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed the free paddle boards and snorkeling and just beach combing. And that was it! We were very disappointed and disgusted with the showers and toilets in the rooms. It was stained really bad that you would want to throw up. It was very bad! Most of the times we used the restruant washrooms. There was no bath mat or face towels or a garbage bin in the washroom. The front receptionist said they don't provide those in the garden bures. The sink had do much hair in it when we got on the room. I had to clean it. Our bed was another story! It would tilt up in the air as soon as we slept on it! We had to sleep sideways on the bed. This resort needs a major upgrades in the rooms. We have stayed at a few resorts nearby to this one and no one had the disgusting toilets like Mango Bay. We loved the place but definitely won't come back because of the disgusting rooms.

"Very Poor Experience – Misleading Rating and Unhygienic Conditions"

2.0

Very Poor Experience – Misleading Rating and Unhygienic Conditions Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The property is very filthy and does not resemble the photos advertised online. The rooms were dirty, the bathrooms were unhygienic, and overall cleanliness standards were unacceptable. The hotel’s 8.2 rating is highly misleading and does not reflect the actual condition of the property. Even the surrounding area felt unsafe, with snakes spotted near the beach, which was alarming and not disclosed beforehand. We chose to check out early and move to other hotels, which says a lot about the experience. Regarding staff, the hotel receptionist Sharna was not helpful at all, which added to the frustration rather than resolving concerns. Overall, a very poor experience and not a place we would recommend.

"Peaceful Retreat"

10.0

We booked a beachfront bure, the view was amazing, and the outdoor shower was so nice (complete with a family of hermit crabs in the garden which was adorable!). We found the resort to be really peaceful, the people were friendly, and the food was great. A really great place to relax and unwind.

"Mango Bay Fiji Time"

8.0

Quiet sheltered bay, warm clear waters. Away from the busy city life, hire a car for a bit of freedom. Use the paddle boards to explore the reef. Salt water pool, yummy cocktails and swinging day bed. The beach front bures are the best spot with their outdoor showers a highlight. Lush gardens teaming with wildlife. The staff are amazing - beautiful welcoming people. Menu changes everyday. Lots of fresh fruit at breakfast.

"Excellent"

8.0

Quiet and secluded. I stayed for 5 nights.. there was one couple there when I arrived in the evening, and they left the following morning so I had the place to myself for 3 nights 😁 Staff were friendly. The owner was helpful in organising an excursion for me personally. Pablo (one of the owners dogs)was my sidekick for the trip, he followed me about...cute. I really appreciated the on sight activities provided (as and when required) I had waited 50 years to go to Fiji, and I wasnt disappointed! Beautiful island, with friendly people. The accommodation could do with a bit of a facelift, but for the price, just think basic (Travelodge quality) The continental breakfast was ok. The evening meals were, average I preferred the pasta dishes overall...and wish I'd stuck to 4

"Quality. "

10.0

Paradise exists. And it exists here. Have been fortunate enough to do a bit of travelling recently, and after a visit to Tokyo, I thought I might be in need of some respite. I chose Fiji for my cures and after some extensive research, Mango Bay stood out as an exciting place to visit. How right I was! Arriving early at 7am, I did not expect to be accommodated till later. But Ed was there at the front door and went well out of his way to sort me out with an Ocean View bure - thank you Ed! The rest was just fantastic - friendliness, attention, food and drink, and the clear, warm shallow waters of the Pacific all made this a dream. To Ed and your team, thank you.

"Hope to return one day!"

10.0

We consider ourselves very lucky to have stayed at the Mango Bay Resort in Fiji. This resort is set in a rural location approximately 2 hours from Nadi Airport, on a private road off the main highway. For an authentic experience and to go to sleep listening to the waves crashing, we would highly recommend staying in one of the Beachfront Bures. Whilst you won’t be getting 5 star luxury what makes this place so special is the warm and genuine affection that all of the staff show to their guests and the unmatchable sunsets that can be seen every evening when sipping your drink of choice at the beachfront bar and restaurant. Whilst there is a good selection of activities and tours on offer that can be arranged, we were there to take advantage of the pure relaxation so only opted for a tour of a local coffee plantation and a massage at a local spa. If you have a special event or celebration taking place during your stay at Mango Bay we would recommend booking the superb Seafood Platter Dinner which we had on our wedding anniversary accompanied by yet another unmissable sunset. We would like to thank all of the staff for looking after us, with special thanks to Jen, Eloni, Naomi and last but not least Tina (thanks for sorting our washing!). If we are lucky enough to be passing through Fiji again we will definitely make sure to stay again.
