Colour Hotel

Wifi did not work in the room, so had to go down to the lobby. Curtains in my room were orange and as the light shined through gave the whole room an orange sheen, which I found unpleasant. Not good if you want to sleep when it's light outside if you can't sleep unless it's dark. Area around the Hauptbahnhof (main station) is a little dodgy, but I think probably safe. Otherwise, maybe what you'd expect for a 2.5 star hotel.

Bad small, the room was cold, and the bathroom was dirty.

I love this hotel bcoz it’s only 5min walk away from Frankfurt am main Station.Very clean hotel and very friendly staff.All the shops near this hotel which u need like food shopping.All attractions are only about 15-20 min walk.I would like to book again if I plan to come frankfurt next time. Old hotel that is very convenient to the train station and downtown shopping.

Newly renovated. Excellent breakfast. Close to main train station. Clean. Friendly employees.

I travel to Germany a few times each year. On my last trip to Frankfurt I tried this hotel based on the reviews. I am used to tiny rooms in meh locations near the train station, but this was worse than expected. Room was the smallest I have stayed at in Europe...bathroom door could not open all the day and I barely fit through the shower door opening. Was expecting a typical German breakfast spread, but found deli meats I would not eat, cold boiled eggs, and some packaged odds and ends. I was here 4 nights for a biz trip and grabbed breakfast outside, even though I had already prepaid at the hotel. You can find better in Frankfurt...just around the corner are 2 other hotels I have stayed at with 100% better everything. To end on a positive note, this is a 5min walk from the main train station and they did let me check-in a few hours early which was awesome after a long trip.

So convenient to the train station (Bahnhof) which puts one with easy transport to the airport. I must say my room had the best shower in all the places I stayed while in Germany and France! Only drawback was the lack of a good pastry shop and coffee right in the near neighborhood. The neighborhood has its share of panhandlers, but they are not threatening.

Quiet and comfortable

You'll get no amenities like hand cream or cotton swabs, but.if you want a place to sleep and shower, in a good location, this is usually a top value.... "Location, location, location". It's an old-school hotel in an older building, with mechanical room keys, but it has wifi, cable, and the heat and plumbing always work. We've stayed here 6 or 8 times over 10 years. This time I was happy they had updated the hallways with paint and carpet, and housekeeping seemed better. The Colour is a 3 minute walk to the main train station and there are U-Bahn and tram stops equally that nearby. The staff can speak English, and is friendly and helpful.
