Garden Hotel

Il y a toujours un truc qui ne marche pas... Ascenseur bloqué à l'étage, bouffe industrielle du petit-déjeuner, escaliers pour aller partout, circuit "bizarre" pour aller d'un endroit à un autre dans l'hôtel, groupes (autocars entiers) reçus régulièrement qui imposent leurs fiestas à tous les clients... Très belle piscine mais pas entretenue (crasse, algues sur les carrelages) et très profonde quasiment partout donc dangereuse pour les enfants et les nageurs du dimanche. Heureusement, le personnel est sympa, notamment au resto et à la piscine ! Vérifier les factures au moment du départ, certains clients indélicats refilent n'importe quel numéro de chambre pour ne pas payer et faire facturer un pigeon... Dans les chambres, deux lits côte à côte NE FONT PAS un grand lit type Queen Size et il n'y a pas de pression d'eau dans la salle de bains !!!

Just spent two amazing weeks in Sicily in that beautiful retro 60's hotel. Garden hotel is situated about 6 miles away from the beautiful city of Catania. On our arrival, we've been impressed with the palm trees,cactus and tropical plants surrounding the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean throughout.Very friendly and helpful staff. If you wish to stay at Garden Hotel you need a car due to is remote location.No transport available from the hotel. My only criticism I could make,is a lack of varieties for the breakfast. Apart of that,I recommend this hotel for a nice and relaxing time especially around that amazing swimming pool

There are some really great things about this hotel, the swimming pool is gorgeous and the gardens are really lovely, lush and green. The rooms are a good size and we had a balcony. Bed linen is changed daily and place is beautifully clean but the overall ambience of the place is quite faded and tired, it could do with light coloured furniture and a lick of paint. Some staff are great, notably Dino( Gino) and a lovely young girl who was very friendly and helpful (sorry I dont know her name!) Breakfast was good, if somewhat limited but sufficient, I particularly liked squeezing my own fresh orange juice. We ate here twice and the standard was very good, I had a beautiful lobster pasta and fresh fish which was fabulous.

Very comfort & friendly staff. Big enough swimming pool & relaxing areas!

The hotel had a very picturesque entrance. We had a wedding 12 minutes away so the location was good. I should have requested a room with a shower rather than very high bath tub. Also, paid extra for a room with sea view which was really was not there.

A bit old. Terrible breakfast compared with other 4**** hotels. One morning we had lightgreen and rotten scrambled eggs :-( The staff were friendly. Nice reception and clean rooms. The swimmingpool was perfect. We had lunch one day. 4 x Pasta Carbonara (quality nothing special), 4 x 2 slices watermelon, 1 beer for me and 3 x cola/water. Price: 81 Euros

Situated outside catania this was a good standard of accomodation with a pool. Decent breakfast. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a little village 300m down the hill which has 2 excellent pizza places a brilliant bakers, amazing fruit and veg shop and a supermarket. These were all excellent value. You can catch the bus to catania from there although the scheduled times were a little 'flexible' so to speak. Taxis are expensive to town(25€)and the airport(49€). Good place if you just want to relax and unwind. Already missing the crazy cockerels next door.
