Very nice place …clean

There were issues with the room and the bathroom sink water faucet kept on dripping unless you put it to the middle after using it. The fan in the bathroom was hanging by a screw from the ceiling and the shower head ring was not secured to the wall. We had bugs in the bathroom which I know in TX it is hard to stop bugs. The coffee pot did not have the right size basket to hold the filter for the coffee. The staff was afraid of the dog even after I had told them she would not bite. Had talked to front desk about clean towels that and we were leaving for the day with our do, and either they didn't relay the message to house keeping as I had to find them and ask for towels, coffee and cups as they never came to the room and the housekeeping staff say it was because of the dog.

We were flat out lied to by the reservation agent, who was rude and abrupt and did not take my rewards member information. He quoted us a rate that seemed very high but was for what he told us it was the best rate because it was the last room and that there would be no discount for my rewards status. The total he had told us was 170 to include all taxes and fees, and that there was no rewards member discount because it was the last room.  When we got to the hotel, it was clearly not full. (Later we checked 3rd party sites including Booking.com and found multiple available rooms at much lower prices. The breakfast room was also empty both of the times I visited it) The reception desk told us we would pay a separate pet fee, despite being told the price included all fees (we had specifically mentioned the pet and agreed to the fee with the reservation person). When I protested that the price we were quoted was for all fees and taxes, the front desk indicated the price for the room with my rewards and with taxes was 112 for 2 queens on a Monday night, plus the pet fee. Since this was less than the quoted price, we checked in. When I got the receipt by email, the amount was 170, and I received a second one for $25 for the pet.

I didn't care for the same breakfast choice every morning. It got very boring after 3 days. Otherwise, the hotel itself was comfortable.
