It’s noisy at night but that is expected being close to a train station and being an old building

It was close to the shops

Let’s start with the major rail line 100m away. If you are a light sleeper you have no chance. The milk in the fridge was opened and old. The fridge freezer made heaps of noise. The shower can’t be turned off so it drips a lot of water when off.

The apartment was surprisingly great! The bed was really comfortable. The furnishings were good and it was well equipped with 'almost' everything you needed. The carpet was clean. The apartment was spotless, and it had a nescafe coffee machine. The bathroom had a good products and soft towels.

The worst - It was FREEZING!! There were 2 low voltage electric heaters that did nothing at all.. and Melbourne gets so cold in the winter. I left them on full and it made zero difference in the lounge. The bedroom heated up with the door shut, but that was all. It was torture showering in a freezing bathroom too. There was hardly any cutlery - the draw was missing forks. Wine glasses would have been nice too.

Everything as it was a step back in time for when we married, and this apartment closely matched our first apartment elsewhere. Very nice nostalgia feel, and the apartment was presented very well indeed. Loved it, including the trains, as we remembered back then, too. The location was perfect, and we really felt comfortably happily at home.

Well, it would be unfair to mention the trains because the sounds were a special piece of our nostalgic stay, and we'll be back again.
