Safety is big issue

Rooms was okay nice size and comfy.The carpet in the hallways needs replacing and the lifts was out of order so had to carry suitcase upstairs.

The hotel property was not kept up with. A piece of wood with nails had come off the sidewalk. Vomit, food and bottles were located outside. The elevator was t working. The carpet was so dirty. The room smelled dirty. The sheets smelled like Clorox. People were noisy. The stairs in the back didn’t feel safe as I stepped on them. The door in the back was never locked. No security was available. Someone kept knocking on my door at night and in the morning.

This hotel is a nightmare! From the upper management to the housekeepers with the exception of one person, she’s an angel that works the 2-10pm shift Thursday-Sunday. Nothing on the premises works! Nothing!!! Staff is rude, abrupt, thoughtless, careless and disrespectful. They do not know the meaning of the term “guest”, you will be treated as if you are doing them some sort of favor by staying there! The towels are worn and dingy, there’s roaches, the housekeepers do minimal cleaning and speak no English at all. All of the long term guests are prostitutes and drug addicts who generally mind their own business until you end up having a domestic violence situation in the room next door, the door was kicked in , she was thrown through the glass sliding door and they were both allowed to stay on the property. The “breakfast” is a joke. This property is a very tasteless representation of the Wyndham brand. This property should be taken away from the owner and ran over with a bulldozer. Beware he owns multiple properties in the Houston area and every one of them should be taken from him.

The card reader was malfunctioning every day and the selection of breakfast could've been better although they did have waffles to make. I also didn't like that there was no ESPN on TV. The elevator was out of service and the fitness center wasn't open like it was supposed to be.

All of the minimum requirements the staff was able to do very very well. However, I couldn't ignore the fact that it was extremely guetto, a pretty old building (possibly not built well), and that those are possible reasons why the hotel has changed management at least once in the past.

Hotel smells like weed. The exterior doors aren't looked anyone can walk in. Prostitutes screaming at 5 in the morning about getting robbed and punched. Stay away.
