The food was good and the rooms were lovely and clean. It is very close to a long beach, so good for walking. The sea can be a bit rough to swim in at high tide.

There was a corporate event at the hotel, so on several days we were blasted with music from morning til night. This was totally unacceptable and ruined out stay. I think it is quite common for there to be events/weddings here, so do check before you book. When we complained about the loud music and noise we were told that 'that is how it is here'. We will not be coming back.

We stayed at Taj Exotica Goa for a one-night break, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We were traveling as a couple with a toddler and were still given a twin-bed room. After reaching the room, it took multiple calls and long wait times just to get through to guest services—and even then, no resolution. Calls to the duty manager went unanswered despite repeated attempts. We eventually had to settle in because our child needed to sleep, but housekeeping took over an hour to simply join the beds. By then, our toddler had missed his nap window and was completely unsettled. Room service took about an hour, and getting a buggy around the property was nearly impossible—with wait times of 20–25 minutes every single time. We ended up walking everywhere in the heat. The explanation for everything was that there was a wedding and the hotel was busy. But if service cannot be maintained during events, guests should not have to bear the consequences. For a property that markets itself as family-friendly and premium, this was far from acceptable. The only redeeming part of the stay was the beach, which is beautiful—but that has nothing to do with the hotel’s service. Overall, a very poor experience and not what you would expect from the Taj brand.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa. Despite multiple emails prior to arrival and timely payment of 50% of the booking amount as requested, the overall experience fell far below the standards expected from a Taj property. To begin with, early check-in was not accommodated, resulting in a wait of over two hours in the lobby during peak summer heat, without adequate cooling arrangements. This was highly uncomfortable and poorly managed. The buggy/cart service was extremely inefficient and service is very poor in this regard. In particular, the conduct of Mr. Sunil on duty was unprofessional and discourteous when assistance was requested. Such behavior is unacceptable in a hospitality environment. Although the property claims to be pet-friendly and charged over ₹2000 plus taxes for the same, basic amenities for pets were not provided especiallyfor the cat and staff were also not aware. This reflects a lack of commitment to the services being advertised and billed. What was most disappointing was the general attitude of the staff. There appeared to be an indifferent and rigid approach, as if guest concerns were of little importance. The overall impression conveyed was dismissive—almost as if guests had no option but to accept the situation. The checkout experience further compounded the issue. The billing was incorrectly calculated, including unexplained STD charges, and took more than an hour to resolve—again in uncomfortable conditions with inadequate cooling. It was only after the intervention of the Director that the matter was corrected. Additionally, while I did meet the General Manager to share feedback, the response felt rushed and procedural rather than sincere or solution-oriented. This experience has been extremely disappointing and not at all reflective of the standards associated with Taj properties. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that necessary steps are implemented to prevent such occurrences in the future. I would appreciate a detailed response addressing these concerns.

The location was very good and access to beach which was clean and there were sports activities were available for example Para-Sailing. Spa was good and professional

No welcome on arrival and welcome drink or water was offered as we arrived for early checkin at 8 AM in the morning. There was issues with buggy for pickup and one of the staff was very rude when we asked how much time for buggy to come to reach our rooms. Very unprofessional

The Taj is a lovely hotel but spoilt by lazy unmotivated staff especially in the pool area. They give out a service button to press when you want drinks or food but totally ignore it when you request service. In the restaurant you have to wait 40 minutes or more to receive your order which put us off going there at lunchtime and for evening meals. I had such great expectations for this trip but sadly I will not be returning to this hotel.
