Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Exotica in April 2026, and I wanted to take a moment to share our sincere appreciation for the exceptional hospitality extended to us throughout our visit. From check-in to check-out, the experience was seamless and warm, reflecting a level of care and attention that truly stood out. Traveling with toddlers can sometimes be challenging, but the courtesy, patience, and thoughtfulness shown by the restaurant teams made all the difference. Every meal felt relaxed and enjoyable, thanks to the attentive service and genuine warmth extended to our families. A special mention to the managers, Ambika, and the entire serving staff who consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Their attentiveness and kindness did not go unnoticed. We were also incredibly impressed with the kids’ activity center. Narmin, who leads the center, was exemplary in her engagement with the children. From organizing creative arts and crafts sessions to thoughtfully taking the kids for fish feeding activities, she created memorable experiences that our children thoroughly enjoyed. Her enthusiasm and ability to connect with the kids made a lasting impression. Thank you once again to the entire team at Taj Exotica for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting again.

Hotel review- The room was spacious and cool however regarding the coffee (which is priority for me) I expected a coffee machine in a 5 star luxury resort but only a kettle and having travelled Asia extensively it was the first time I had CHICORY coffee sachets which were disgusting!!!the first time I used the hairdryer the plug was hanging out of wall although room service cleaning was very good. Pool area is very nice but no service at all. A call button given but no one came so had to resort to going to the bar - one pizza and 2 cokes £24, took up to one hour to arrive, and no one come to clear away after service so very disappointing as crows were pouncing! Restaurant overpriced - basic sandwich and a few fries £12 and service took an hour to arrive in an empty restaurant! Each meal was the same long delay difficult for young children to wait every time and very frustrating! Very spaced out resort so people with mobility issues would struggle you could call for a buggy with a 20 minute wait but the phone didn’t work in our room anyway. I think arrivals and departures took priority with buggies. Ideally they should transit the villas to give a service when needed on a loop! Overall the main issue with this hotel is the terrible service! The staff are invisible at the pool, plastic water bottles which are distributed very warm are scattered everywhere. These issues must be down to bad management but should not happen in a 5 star hotel and not good value for money, you don’t get what you pay for. NEVER again!! Special mention to Paveen in the restaurant and Janisha at the check out as she was one of the only efficient person we met!

Beautiful hotel, set in stunning grounds, gorgeous pool area, large spacious rooms, which were clean and very comfortable. The team couldn’t do enough for you, real 5 star service. Great resort.

It’s slightly remote, which great if you don’t want to go anywhere, but if you do taxis are expensive in Goa and there’s no uber! The food is good, but it’s expensive for what it is. I expect expensive food in a 5 star resort, but I also expect the quality to match the price. The food is good, just doesn’t match the price. We ate in the beach shack next door which is a third of the price, for better quantity food.

Thankyou for a wonderful holiday at the Taj exotica, from the moment we arrived to the very end. Beautiful gardens, very clean rooms, excellent service throughout & delicious food. One exceptional moment was Cleto organising the repair of our suitcase which lost a wheel on the flight to Goa, truely above & beyond service.

Thanks to Taj Exotica for making sure the experience so special on my birthday. Perks of staying at this property: 1) Muddy water in washrooms 2) Delayed service 3) Average food 4) Poor housekeeping 5) Used toothbrush in washroom 6) Cannot configure a room key for 1hour 10 mins. Thanks, missed my lunch 6) Clueless front desk 7) Countless apologies / "Sorry sir, we have missed it" 8) The management makes sure that you are engaged through out the stay by wasting / delaying the service Again, thanks for making the birthday so special. Also a suggestion, wasting time 'IS NOT EQUAL TO' a room upgrade. The staff definitely need to be trained and not sure if this property even have a general manager. Have checked multiple times at the front desk but looks like he/she is missing at the property.

No heart in the service. Check in/out timings Beginning with checkin - 2pm is the standard checkin time. They were well informed about my 2:30 arrival. Yet got the key card only at 3pm + had to wait for 15 mins in the scorching heat for a buggy to drop me to my room (more about that later) But, When I req for a 2pm late check out - then there was a lot of resistance in offering me one as 12 noon is strict check out time as 2pm is strict checkin time (I wonder where was the strictness when I waited until 3pm for the checkin). Buggy availibility issues. See the photo I have attached - there were 2 more buggies which were there but taj team was adamant that the only the 1 buggy that’s doing the rounds in the acres of large resort will pick me up & drop me to the room. Even if it means we have to melt in the humid heat waiting for one. No cold towel offering. No considerations whatsoever. The same happened in the evening post supper when I wanted to get to my room. I had a few v important guests (with dietary restrictions) for a late lunch, but the all-dining Restuarant served only buffet & no ala-carte then with a lot of resistance + letting us know multiple times that they are doing us a favour, they accommodated us in the Goan Restuarant. Which also messed up with the dietary restrictions in a couple of dishes - there was no prompt remorse or the intent to get it right. Albeit had to pay the full price for the dish. Secondly, when I gave a feedback about all of this, Joanne at the check out desk seemed very defensive about everything inspite of showing her the proof of the issue. Taj exotica staff seemed too much “in the box” when it came to making up for services. Very one-way rigidity in their systems. Very unapologetic attitude & didn’t even offer any compensation when I mentioned that the waiting in the heat gave me a severe headache and ruined my evening during the short 1n stay. Service Attitude wise a serious problem. The 4-star resort (beleza by the beach) that I came from, was far more sensitive in their services. The 3 stars are simply for the nice room & the expansive well maintained property. Am never coming back, though. The Marriott group hotels and resorts are faaaar more service sensitive and leave nothing aside to pamper you when it comes perks+goodies & make sure of an outstanding stay. Leaving with a very bitter flavour. Wonder if The Taj’ness’ days are over?
