Econo Lodge Clarks Summit - Scranton

I didn't know that road construction on I-81 was so bad and loud and went on most of the night. A train went through at 2:45 AM and sounded like it was going through the room. Walls were paper thin so I could hear my neighbor on one side having relations and on the other side a violent argument. Check in was good and staff were polite. The heater didn't work, and the sheets and bedspread were paper thin. No shampoo or hair dryer. Hey, I got what I paid for since it was the least expensive room around, but will not stay there again.

Gourmet family dining was the greatest asset.

Quick check-in, easy access to parking spot. Comfy beds, good curtains to cover the morning light. Heater worked well with some noise.

The shower was leaking forever. There was water around the fridge when we arrived. Old bedroom with some bad smell.

Room was clean and modern. Staff was friendly. Best price.

Noise....train went by at night and room next door was playing loud music.

It was convenient and quiet even though a train passed nearby. I hardly heard a thing.

The TV didn't receive a signal. We had our phones and were only staying overnight, so we didn't care. There was no hot water at the sink, so I wonder if there was hot water in the shower. We didn't have to use the shower, so I don't know. The building is dilapidated, but the interior of the room was great. It was a good value. I hope the owners fix it up and have a lot of success.

The first room was a smoking room with 2 double beds and it was disgusting. It smelled like poop and there were weird stains on the beds. The air conditioner did not work and because of that we got a free upgrade to the king size room. The king size room did not smell but it needed mopped, there was dirt on my socks after walking around the room in them. It could be very nice if it was swept and mopped. There were only 2 bar soaps in the king size room, no shampoo, or conditioner, and that wasn’t adequate for showering.

They said breakfast was included but it was just few pieces of low-quality wrapped pastry which we didn't eat. The payment was not received from Booking.com prior to my check in and the management made me call the booking.com customer service to follow up before they checked us in, or we should have paid again and then resolved with Booking.com later. I ended up spending 45 min at midnight calling the customer service and resolve the situation. This was not completely their fault since they needed to have a method of payment before checking in guests. But overall the experience between Booking.com and Eco Lodge caused a lot of inconveniences for a one-night stay during our road trip.

We rented a room just to have an overnight place to sleep as we continued traveling to our destination. The room, linens, and bathroom were clean but had a slight odor as if it used to be a smoking-allowed room. No complaints as a place to sleep overnight between days of driving.
