Quality Inn Hyde Park - Poughkeepsie North

The location was excellent for the trip we took to Hyde Park, NY. Easy access from the motel. My traveling companion has mobility issues, and I asked for a first-floor room, and I was accommodated. The bed seemed clean. The bathroom seemed clean although a large dark from a previous guest was on the bathroom floor. I guess it could be missed but I noticed it right away.

The room was very small with large pieces of furniture making it difficult to maneuver for two people. My traveling companion uses a wheel walker, and the furniture was so close together she could not get around the room. We were basically running into each other. The room looked dingy with poor lighting. Impossible to read. We had four lights, and the wattage seemed low. The breakfast food was pathetic. I had a tasteless "fried" egg, one sausage link, toast and orange juice. The egg was very hard and cold. The sausage didn't seem cooked and was cold. Other guests got fruit, but no replacement fruit for later guests were provided. If the motel provides breakfast, then it should be available to all guests for the time period (2 hours). We weren't expecting high end food but at least warm and edible. It should not be a chore for guests to microwave cold food.
