Meliá Cala d'Or Boutique Hotel

The property was cute. There are two pools, one being 24 hours and a restaurant on the property. The room is a little outdated. The tub in the bathroom is too high, often causing leaks. It feels a little dark in the room with not alot of natural lighting. Nevertheless, the staff was amazing and had good suggestions upon check in.

A little far from the Port with main restaurants overlooking the water (20min by walk), but about 5min away from another street with another restaurants. A little pricey for what you get, but it’s August to a high season.

The pool area was excellent . The flowers and grounds are beautiful. Your room is cleaned every day and you are given fresh towels. There are so many sunbeds all over the grounds, not just by the pool so you can relax away from the hubbub very easily. We had a junior suite and our terrace was huge. I loved reading there on the evening. The hotel was close to the centre but felt like a quiet retreat. It we be felt cooler when you walked through the gates. Twice a week they had singers come to perform around the pool. They were excellent and created a relaxed and cool vibe.

My children didn’t eat much at breakfast (but they are extremely fussy!) so that worked out to be quite expensive for us. The snack bar at the pool was quite expensive.

Good standard

Failed to deliver on the pre booked and pre paid room type. Had a call the morning of checking in telling me there was an issue with the rooms and that they may need to move one of the booked rooms to a different hotel. Then they sorted both rooms but down graded one of the rooms form a suite to a standard which i felt was unacceptable without a good valid reason.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel - the staff are super friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. The hotel is very conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. The only downside is that most of the sunbeds are in the shade for a lot of the day due to the layout of the pool but that was fine for us! We would definitely stay there again.

Very elegant and exclusive hotel. Entire layout was Beautiful, calming, quiet and very relaxing. Rooms were large and beds extremely comfortable. Staff were very attentive always asking if they could help. Discreet, Poolside towel and drinks service delivered in such a way to ensure you never had to lift a finger if you didn’t want to.

Just a minor 2 glitches. The air con was great during the day but sadly intermittent throughout the night and engineers could not find the fault whilst we were there. The toilet door in the bathroom was stripped glass and did not close all the way so was not very discreet If someone else wanted to shower at same time. There was a shower cubicle, shower over a bath, sink and a toilet with bidet in the bathroom. So nice idea to have the toilet partitioned off with a sliding door in a suite for 3 people, but could have used a better door
