I have seen this hotel rated on the web from 3 to 5 stars - for me it was 5-star experience. Many of the staff were conversant in English which was extremely helpful. I had all my requests from postcards to ground transportation taken care of quickly. Breakfast buffet had a tremendous selection of items. If my travels take me back to Ningbo, I'll stay at the Crowne Plaza again. Tianyi Square is a short walk from the hotel and there is a Starbucks on the square, although it doesn't open until 8 in the morning. The only complaint I have about my stay is that some of the hotel guests do not obey the no-smoking signs and light-up in elevators and on non-smoking floors.
Of the top tier hotels in Ningbo, this one is probably the cheapest. This one also has the best location about a block from TainYe square the center of town. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Internet speed is good. Breakfast has a lot of choices. Glass in the windows is good enough to make the rooms quiet.
Location is good, but unfortunely there is a seafood wholesale market nearby which cause the overall environment is dirty in chaos.

Everything is fine except that the room is a bit smaller than what I had been to Crowne Plaza Xiamen.
