Elounda Palm Hotel

Nice place to stay: clean, nice view, good pool and bar. We found it too far to walk to the town. A taxi was €6 each way. Lots of really nice restaurants along the seafront.

A lovely family-run hotel, beautifully furnished with elegant decor and artwork. Our receptionist, Birgit was charming and accommodating. Our sea view room was spacious and airy. The bed was so comfortable it was a joy to go to sleep! The pool area was well-designed and there were plenty of comfy sunloungers. We loved the shady garden areas under the palms. The dining area had nicely arranged tables inside and outside under the canopy of carob trees. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food was a buffet of delights, excellent Greek yoghurt and honey too. A well-stocked library was a welcome bonus. All in all, a fabulous stay in an elegant hotel.

Good sized hotel (we don't like huge ones) about 20 -30 minutes walk from Elounda village. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a bungalow which was a lovely big room but didn't have much of a view because of the palm trees outside - on the second day they allowed us to change to a sea view room with a large terrace outside - room not quite so nice as the bungalow but the view from the terrace was amazing. Breakfasts were good with lovely fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, beautiful freshly made pastries, cooked breakfast components in warming buffet trays, lovely breads and more! We only had dinner in the hotel once (as we were b&b and prefer to try various local tavernas) but it was a good meal and we were given some complimentary desserts from the buffet. We had lunch one day by the pool and that was good too. The walk down to Elounda was fairly well lit and not too difficult, harder on the way back as the last bit is uphill. Great selection of tavernas/restaurants/cafes in Elounda. Our favourites were Okeanis, Vacchus and Paradissos (the nearest to Elounda Palm as it was near the route to the Spinalonga peninsula). All in all we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel - you do have to pay extra for use of the room safe /pool towels - the pool is saltwater and pretty cold but very clean. Would recommend if you don't mind the walk into Elounda.

Lovely hotel about a 20 min fast walk away from centre of Elounda where the shops, restaurants and taxis are. Staff were really friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely each day, lots of choice for even the fussiest of eaters and never too crowded. The bed in our junior suite was very comfy and we had really peaceful nights. The room is very basic and smaller than it is portrayed in photos, but has all you’d need. Our one gripe is that we specifically paid extra for the junior suite with the private pool, but the water was freezing, even for my husband, so our baby didn’t get to use it unfortunately. The same goes for the baby pool and the main pool, both freezing, avoided by most people lazing around the pool. We visited in the first week of October and would have hoped for them to be heated. Other than that, a great experience!

Lovely relaxing place to stay. 20 minute walk into Elounda and bus stop nearby to Agios.

Absolutely disgusting. Room smelt soggy and had a urine scent. No conditioner provided Wifi would not connect

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are very clean and very nice pool area with bar, great view of the beach from a distance. I thought it was great value for the price I booked on expedia.
