Elounda Palm Hotel

We were a group of 6, with 4 staying in the apartment with private pool and 2 staying in the bungalow room. The view from the private pool and deck was amazing and the outside table and lounge chairs were great for our group of six. The bathroom showers need some renovating because water leaks onto the bathroom floor (very unsafe for senior citizens in our group). The view from the bungalow room was not great and the bathroom was small. The breakfast buffet food was very good but the coffee that is made from the coffee machine left a lot to be desired. I would recommend removing that machine altogether and brewing coffee in a pot instead! The hotel staff at reception were very accommodating and arranged a rental car for us in 15 minutes. We wished the staff brought our luggage more quickly to the rooms when we arrived (we had three senior citizens in our group that were exhausted after traveling 24+ hours from Brazil to Crete). The complimentary bottles of wine were a very nice touch when we arrived! Overall very pleasant stay and I would recommend Elounda Palm to others.

This is a wonderful hotel above Elounda offering just the perfect amount of luxury--and comfort. Our family loved having two rooms connected by a private pool--and luxuriated in the comforts of our rooms and patios, along with the splendor of beautiful, panoramic views. We spent our mornings enjoying breakfast and reading by the pool, lunches in town, and afternoons at nearby beaches. We highly recommend this hotel and the area for a family vacation.

We booked a junior suite complete with a fabulous shared infinity pool. The room was very comfortable with great views. The grounds were very well maintained and staff were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. We booked B&B as we wanted to try some lodal restaurants (Elounda has a great selection). Breakfast was a good selection of cereal, fruit, yogurts, bread, cheese etc. There was some cooked breakfast available but we avoided it as it was never hot enough. The hotel is a pleasant 20-30 minute walk down to the main town and you can also take the bus or a taxi to Plaka and Agios Nikolas.

The hotel was in a great location and had nice amenities. The wifi in the bedroom could have been better although it gave us an excuse to go down by the pool to have cocktails when we needed to access wifi. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s the second time we’ve stayed here in 3 years and it’s just got better. The hotel is clean and fresh with lovely bright open rooms. We opted for a sea view bungalow in the upper level and were not disappointed. The room was lovely and big with fantastic views and a balcony big enough for sunloungers and table and chairs. The cleaning of the rooms was great- lovely staff, efficient and thorough. The restaurant by the pool now has an open kitchen which is fab for lunch. Lovely food and very modern presentation. Reasonably priced too. The restaurant staff, especially the manager were bright and cheerful, always happy to help and so friendly. The breakfast buffet was great, lots of choice, freshly cooked and always plenty of it. Lovely restaurant either inside or out by the pool to enjoy it by too. The hotel has a range of room options from standard rooms by the garden up to bungalows with private pools, I should imagine all provide the same quality experience. The reception staff were always bright, friendly and helpful arranging transfers, taxis and restaurant reservations. The hotel is situated about ten minutes outside Elounda, for us this was great as it provides chance for a lovely walk to and from Elounda by the sea for dinner each evening. It’s is of course possible to get a taxi for €6. I would recommend this hotel to couples particularly as it is quiet and spacious.

The hotel is in a nice situation a walk from Elounda and the beach with a great pool/relaxing area and great views. We arrived late on the first night and were shown to our room, which was just off reception. There was a smell of drain and the view was onto the carpark, but it was removed from the other rooms, so private-ish. However, it was very loud when people were using the stairs and coming and going from reception so after a challengning first night sleep we asked to be moved but were only offered to upgrade at a price which was roughly what we paid for our stay. We couldn't afford that but were told that after another night we could move. The subsequent room was really lovely, much bigger, cleaner and with an aspect over the garden. As such we were really surprised the two rooms were in the same 'bracket' on the website in terms of price and it was a shame that we had the inital room allocated to us. We also had some challenges in getting served when we had evening meals as we were forgotten twice when ordering wine with our meal meaning the wine arrived after we had eaten. So while it is lovel our expereince wasn't the best.

Nice friendly hotel but didnt find that they cater well for vegetarians. We arrived 2:30am in the morning yo find ham sandwiches left for us but as we are vegetarians we did not eat them. Also we arrived early hours the following day but was charged half board from the previous day and had to check out at 12noon and no dinner was served. When i asked them if dinner is included on the last day they said no as you had received cold sandwiches the day you arrived. Also the Shower was small and found it abit awkward
