Portimão Center Hotel

Staff very warm and friendly. Hotel needs bit updating as it is little tired. Cleaning staff work very hard and keep the place spotless. TV in the room has english stations. Breakfast was fine cereals, yogurts, fruits, coffee, juices, sausage, eggs, cakes, ham and cheese toasties. Staff here again work extremely hard and keep the breakfast replenished so theres no shortage. Again its very clean and the staff are friendly and greet guests every morning with a warm good morning. Room itself is basic enough bed mattress is very hard. Shower and toilet facilities good. Location ten or 15 minutes walk to town but courtsey bus has regular pick ups and drops to town and the local beach free of charge. Driver punctual and friendly. For us it was the excellent staff they have here that keeps the place still in business!! Local family restaurant 2mins away highly recommended fresh produce and nice fish. Mirachoro Sol if you are reading this you need to get the letters on your roof fixed it reads OTII not good advertising. Your swimming pool needs a sign so guests can find it.

Stayed here 4 times will stay again good breakfast with a variety of food. Rooms are basic but what else do you need they have en suite shower TV air con. Good out door pool and indoor.

Perfect for 1 week holiday. No silly entertainment etc Long walk to the beach but hotel has good free shuttle service. Lovely beach and town.

What lovely reception staff, very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were cleaned well daily, the staff went above and beyond to help.

Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable but there is zero sound insulation. The doors must be made out of paper and have a gaping hole at the bottom. The windows the same and you will hear everyone's else air conditioning running through the night in what would be an otherwise quiet neighbourhood.... The staff is very nice and helpful but the manager/boss is rude (including to his own staff).

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff. Beds and pillows are like bricks, and we spent a fortune on taxis in and out from praya de rocha. The breakfast was ok... If you like ham cheese and cakes for it... Indoor swimming pool was a bit cold, but the outdoor pool was lovely. Would I stay at the hotel again? Absolutely, it's just a pity it's so far out from the centre of things.

This hotel is a dump. The web states Air Conditioning in public areas....forget it. When asked to switch on the a/c I was told "we cannot find the remote control". They could be more inventive. The web states free-wifi in rooms....forget it. You can only connect in reception, so without a/c, the reception area was like the proverbial hole of Calcutta. The food was lousy and the general look and feel made it depressing. You have been warned.

Was surprised of the cleanest and pleasant place. As a 2* hotel its really great , clean , some areas freshly painted so doesn't look old , staff friendly and helpful . Rooms are not big , but with the A/C and balconies . Bed was a little hard , but its good for rest after long travel . Breakfast simple but really fine , pool inside small and pool outside is a little out of the compound (you have key from it ) Nothing really to do around , so better have a car .

Good value for money hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast, aircon, clean rooms & a swimming pool make it a good place to stay for the price. Distance from the port and rock hard matresses would be the only cons to the hotel.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable , very noisy and I would have been better off sleeping on the floor. Im young so I do nOt know how and older person would get on
