Rocco Forte Astoria Hotel

Lovely hotel but service is cold and not particularly accommodating. Coming from a couple other excellent hotels during our World Cup trip, the difference was stark.

Excellent interiors, very friendly staff, great variety of menue in restaurant, bar and room service. Our room was really big and comfortable and very reasonably priced - great value for money.

If you want the location, quality in all aspects with wonderful staff stay at this Hotel you will not be disappointed. The Hotel is walking distance to all the main attractions in SPB and a host of great restaurants, just stayed for nine nights and couldn’t find one thing to criticise

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Rocco Forte Astoria St Petersburg. The service was top notch and so professional. Our room had a stunning view of St Isaac's cathedral. The restaurant was outstanding and their food and service 5 star quality.

The hotel provided very good service, food and drink.

We stayed 7 nights and could not fault the hotel and staff in any way. The Concierge staff were excellent, and could not do enough for us. Highly recommend this hotel

The location, decor, cleanliness, quality of the food were all great, as were most of the staff (I'll return to this point). My experience on my first day, however, really stands out as I felt I'd been extremely rudely treated, and I'd hesitate to readily recommend to my friends and family. A couple hours after checking in, I returned to the front desk to see if I can be moved to a different room (I'd been placed in the top floor, with a sloping ceiling and smaller window than the lower levels). In telling the front desk staff my room number, I mistakenly confused one of the digits, which I then corrected. Upon hearing my correct room number, the reception staff than actually rolled her eyes in full sight, with a pretty disdainful look on her face.It was extremely offensive - I expressed my surprise but don't think anyone understood - and afterwards I felt highly uncomfortable reaching the front desk for queries. It's a shame, as most of the staff I've encountered elsewhere in the hotel - the concierge, guest relations, the lounge and restaurant, were mostly lovely. Training the reception staff for consistent guest interaction would be great, as the reception is one of the most frequent point of contact. In summary, it was a good stay, but soured by an exceptionally rude reception desk staff.

A remarkable location in the heart of the Historic District. Exceptional service and attention to detail. The Staff were all very friendly and the service was efficient and seamless. The concierge was a delight to work with and helped us with dinner reservations and excursions.
